Hey guys, it's time for me to rebuild my engine after 175k miles. I can't decide should I go ST or SC after it's done. My goal after the build is to have around 430-450WHP. Option 1. I live in CA, and I don't have to worry about being pull over by police if I have the SC kit, but I think I nedd to buy the complete kit in order to get the CARB cert n not the tuner kit (please correct me if I'm wrong). Option 2. Someone is offering a great deal on turbonetic kit for me, but I want to know can I achieve my goal with turbonetic kit.
Things that I already have
Crawford HFC
JWT Fly wheel
JWT Clutch
Invidia N1 Y back exhaust
Intense Motor Sport Y pipe
Volks SF challenge Rims
Here are the parts I've ordered already for my engine buitl. Please let me know if I'm missing anyparts.
CP pistons 8.5/1 with rings
Eagle h bean rods
Acl race bearing
6mm intake valve seal
Cometic head gasket
ARP MAIN STUDS STUD KIT
Brian Crower Stage 3 272 Cams
Brian Crower Valvesprings &Ti Retainers
Ferrea 6000 Valves standar size
Things that I will order
Plenum spacer
ARP head stud kit
REVUP oil pump (any other brand suggestion?)
SC kit
or
ST kit
Thanks

ur gonna have to rev it out alot to make much power with those pistons, low compression pistons and supercharging dont yield very good numbers, id keep the cams the way they are and rev it the f*ck out XD

I guess I'll get new piston if I decide to go with SC option.
Before you get any deeper into this, talk to some pro engine builders, like Hal at Injected.
And tell him what your budget is, and what your goals for the Car are.

Yes... a buddy of mine is a engine builder too, I'm going over to his place this weekend and talk to him. Thank you for your advise.
