350z006, what kind of power are you getting from your 9.5 comp piston.

I understand that most of you believe that if I'm going to build my engine, I mind as well go turbo, but since this is my dd, and I drive alot (175k in 5 years). Also, I live in California, I just don't want to deal with ref and tickets, that was why I decide I will go SC. It just seem like a more reliable option for me.

My build...

I also have the same concerns about the Ref issues in Cali, or I would have gone turbo...that being said, my setup is FAR from CARB legal, even though I do have a CARB plate on my blower...

350z006- where did you get your 9.5:1 Wiseco piston? Is it because of your revup motor?

I'm having hard time finding a set of 9.0 or 9.5. I think Arias is the only one that I can find that makes 9.0:1 compression. Wiseco offers 8.8:1 and 11:1 compression much cheaper, and I've hear many good comments about them. Do you think I will run into the same problem with Wiseco 8.8 piston versus 8.5?

every piston maker can sell you any compression piston you want for no extra cost. you might just have to wait a little longer.

+1...my pistons are Wiseco's and I had to wait an extra few weeks for the custom compression pistons, but it can be done to any spec you want...

I'm going with 9.0:1 compression. This compression I would assume it's okay with Turbo also. I want to make sure that if I don't like my SC in the future, I can always go Turbo.

Any one wanna trade or buy my 96mm CP piston (.20 oversize). I will start a F.S/F.T later on this week in the classified section, if anyone is interested. I need to wait 2 months for my bulilder before he can work on my car, so I'm in no rush.
