Planning to road race or do some track days with the setup? Fuel starvation is a real issue on 350/370 track cars at almost any power level. It's ironic that the situation actually got worse with the 370Z with respect to fuel delivery. Assuming the answer is YES, then I would have the Walbro255 or DW in tank pump supply fuel to your 2 or 3 liter surge tank, and then use a Bosch 044 to deliver fuel to the rails. Then return line from regulator back to the surge tank, then return from surge back to the OEM assembly.
And if your answer is NO, then disregard what I said and install a simple RFS and a Walbro/DW intank and be done with it.

Lol... Sorry guys I dont think I have added enough info in my first post.
I run the car on trackdays and road race comps over here in the UK. (handling, 1/4, top speed etc) and im looking in to a surge tank for the safety of not running in to fuel starvation.
Ill look into a smaller 2L surge tank and stick with a single external 044. The 255 walbro pump will flow just as much as the 044 as the in tank pump will now be running at a lower pressure than the 044.
Ill ditch the twin external idea until I need more fuel. Its great having an external fuel set up as If/when I need more fuel Ill just swap/add more pumps!
Im right at 470RWHP at the moment but im looking to retune to 1.2bar (500+ RWHP) soon and want a reliable fuel set up.

Over kill? Yes, that's enough pump for about 1000hp. Is there anything wrong with over building any part? IMHO nope.
Any external gas sump pump system is a great idea. A well built fuel system is essential to reliability.
If you can do it relatively cheaply, then go for it. If it is going to cost over let's say a grand, then I'd tell you not to do it, just for the sake of putting the money else where if your goals are only 500whp. As others have stated a 300lph pump is plenty for 500whp. So I'd say just do a 'standard' in tank upgrade then spend the money on tune/ecu. Unless you have a good ecu already, in which case go for it.

explain how a the standard intank pump is going to prevent fuel starvation at high cornering G's.
then explain how your suggestion even pertains to the OP's goals of

Woa that's actually really cool

should be relatively inexpensive to make your own surge tank. know someone thats a welder? then its just a matter of making your own lines. ive been thinking about doing this for a while now. but i dont track my car, so its not necessary.
