I was once in a similar situation(I knew the difference between a supercharger and turbo). I bought it not knowing alot of things about the car. For example what mods are on it. I bit the bullet. 25k miles later its running great. Are their horror storys sure. But a vortech setup is normally pretty reliable. 23k of those 25k miles were DD. I recently bought a DD because a boosted Z is just not really a good DD. Also to my surprise the car made 377whp which is quiet a bit more hp than I thought the car was making(even though everyone on here thought my overall results were fairly normal). Id say try to get a deal on it check it out, compression test. I would not be afraid of it as much as everyone is making it sound.

Also my roommate bough a TT G35 sedan used, in a similar fashion. He has had a bit more problems than I have but nothing major. If I were you id get it.

How much do they want for it anyways?
