i think i know the issue already but checking in with the locals to confirm.
recently picked up that jotech built car, it was sitting for almost 3 years and wasnt started, had tons of condensation in the oil and was low on coolant. I flushed all the fluids out and changed them (did 3 oil changes). runs perfect at cruising temps sit at normal idles steady etc.. but If it see's any boost it overheats within 2 minuets and blows coolant out the overflow tank. it also gets coolant blow by in the catchcan.
Leads me to believe bad headgasget, or cracked head? on a side note the owner replaced the headgasget in 2009 down at jotech aswell as did cams springs valves etc. Maybe it had a warped head and they didn't resurface when putting the head back on?

most likely what you suspect. bad head gasket or warped heads. Could also be shifting cylinder walls, but thats less likely unless the car has really been beat on.

I don't think its been beat on it only has 21k total miles and 8k on the build, who knows though. Going to start pulling it out next week and check everything out
I was thinking the same thing. Bad head gasket or didn't deck the head when they replaced it last time. You can compare the stock head height to your head to see if it looks like it was decked. I don't know the stock head height though

no sir, i bought a used built car for a steal, jotech built with a greddy 18g kit the razo car listed on thier site under the stage 5 package. Woman won it in a divorce and it didnt run properly so she wanted to get rid of it.
motor in my sig will be running tonight or tommorow delay has been moving the fuel lines didnt like them placed inside the frame rail by the exhaust so we bumped them to the other side had to adjust the hard line a little to get it to line up.

new parts doesn't really mean it was correctly built
and you don't even know if they were new parts either
A lot of shade tree garages will reuse **** to keep cost down or to just make more money and not tell the customer.sounds to me 100% like blown head gasket. Doing exactly what mine did. No problems until boost.

if a dumbass assembled it then it could have a bad headgasket from mile 1.

If you mod the block the cheapest option that will hold power is the stock HR gasket.
I you don't want to mod the block than the HKS gasket is your most reliable option, even though it is expensive.

i use 180$ cometic gaskets with no problems. I'm not spending double on HKS gaskets when cometic gaskets are the ones used in the 100mm bore 1000hp+ cars.
my last cometic head gasket managed to survive 5 pulls on the dyno with 28* timing, pumpgas, and 14psi of boost. Stupid tuner at GRD. So that's a lot of abuse for a headgasket. It was enough that th detonation damaged the top of the number 5 piston.
is the hks superior, possibly. Is my cometic holding my 650hp, yes. proper torqueing and clamping force is key. Also, cometics have the "stopper ring" in them just like all the rest.

might go this route then, keep it cheap and get it up and going. cant decide if i wanna fix it and vinyl wrap the car and keep it for the wife and surprise her with it when shes back from school, or flip it and bank some $$ XD
