Default Veyron Fuel Pump

There really isn't that much data on the veyron pump, so I was herpaderpin looking up sh*t about it and stumbled upon this...

I think this should be the new go to pump... I was bummed to see it was actually rated at 330lph, but when you take into consideration what it flows at higher voltages it's pretty damn boss. I could be wrong but I'm willing to bet the size of this pump lets it take those higher voltages like a boss. Glad I chose it over an a1000, or twin 255's now.
What do you guys have to say?
(not sure what to expect now, I'm used to trolling not really contributing )

EDIT:
Holy jeesus. That pic is huge. Idk how to make it smaller....

ya not much different than a drop in/no modification Aeromotive 340L. An aeromotive on a BAP would produce similar numbers.

My dual pump on my BAP flow ~550LPH at 16.5V at 60psi. Veyron pump flows 25% less.

At only 13.5V dual pump flows 480LPH (at worse 440LPH) at 60psi. 30%(25%) more than the veyron pump.

Sounds like you made a good choice, if you want less fuel, a non-standard install, or no manufacturer support if the pump has issues (although I'm sure IP would easily handle any issues). Veyron has even gone to a newer revision of that pump and no longer uses that model that IP sells.

255LPH testing

How do you plan on pushing more than ~14.5V to the pump?

In the January Dsport magazine they flow tested the A340 pump at RC. @14v 60psi fuel pressure 480lph, 75psi fuel pressure 430lph that's 30psi of boost and they rate that at 1000whp

F*** varon pump

LOL
maybe if it wasn't such a ***** to install. It's about as big as you could fit in-tank i'd say and it's far from a straight swap. Plus you need to make a relay. And I know my car will be far from slow

@Str8, if you search wsp330 in google you should find the ad where I found this data. It's definitely not from IP/Dynosty, so maybe it's the newer version (hopefully not for my sake lol)?

Damn, that's a quite a bit.

Not saying the veyron pump is still better, but I'd like to see independent testing of they wsp330. Maybe this data's off? Again the size of this thing would make me think it can out flow a standard 255 sized drop in pump.
Either way potential for 460lph at 60 psi with a boost a pump is just fine for me!

yeah not sure how accurate that is, coz str8 said twin pump flows 480, not so sure that a single a340 would flow almost as much.

Didnt we have someone from Dsport magazine on this site? maybe they can confirm this

AFAIK only version 1 of teh veyron pump was ever available to the grey market. Apparently veyron dealers are not supposed to sell the pumps at all, but a batch of the version 1 pumps made its way onto the market to places like IP.

With drop in so close to the same flow and the veyron pump so $$$, i never really investigated it anymore.

FWIW, I use 1 Veyron pump in my black 350Z. It is not a dropin solution at all, but is extremely quiet (quieter than a twin pump) and flows for days.

That being said, the new Walbro 400 http://www.dynosty.com/2011/08/walbro-400-fuel-pump/ is possible to fit in the stock pump hanger with modification and boasts big performance.

Which one? The Walbro 400 is not too bad at all. The Veyron pump... is a serious chore. I had a day's work and testing to get it all right in my car.

Hal you think you could pm me about the gauge wiring you used? I know we established it needed a relay, but I'd be open to recommendations
and I'll be sending you guys my oem ecu for a reflash/ordering another batch of parts right around the bend.

depends on where you are pulling your power from. I have a 0ga running to the trunk, so I run a 10Ga to my fuel pumps. 10ga from the front of the car would also be sufficient based upon the amperage vs wire length charts available online.
