National speed sent out the same letter. I guess they were owned by the same investor. But the employees bought out national speed or something to stay in business .

The statement from Momentum could have been less long winded.Perhaps thats a indication of why they are in dire straights. As a business owner myself, the key result is to be profitable within a specific time frame. One would think that Momentum would be classified as a small business. The major fault of this size business is the lack of financial skills. To be sure,Momentum was near the top of their game in brain power in the development of excellent products at a EXCELLENT price.
Perhaps the price was TOO good and not realistic to turn a profit?
At any rate,in reality, there are only so many owners/cars that want&need a FI system.
Same goes for the highly competitive arena of exhaust systems and,so on...
From the vendor standpoint, there has to be a "can-of-worms" situation of inventory
sitting in the vendor's facility. What were the terms of business?Paid for?Consigned?
Also, any warranty aggreements are another problem.
Bottom line, most times when a company offers a product at a price that is way under the competition..."too good to be true",it probably is.

^^ thats what I was thinking, under-cutting competition by racking up debt in the process?

Man I hate seeing these companies come and go.

That's sucks to hear they went under, their products were top botch and a lot if testing went into making great quality of kits. I thought this could be the outcome because they came out strong, when it probably would've been a better idea to build their reputation off as a small business.

ya, just wanted to clarify this came a momentum vendor who announced it to the local g35 club via facebook.

The letter is a pdf directly from their website of which I just copied the text.

Its retarded that businesses that defraud the goverment and produce no profit can get bailouts but a good company still gets screwed. I hadnt personally made a purchase from them but they had a great support at ZDayZ & I love the video they put together for it. I dont think that this is the last we have heard from them.

Sucks if National Speed is going under as well. Been to their location a number of times and I can tell you it was one of the best shops I've ever been at. Topic notch, looked like it was a set of SpeedTV. I was looking at the Momentum ST in early '08. Hate if they went under due to the fact they invested a lot in the G/Z community.

With the way the FI world has evolved as of late they seemed a little over priced. Anyone can fab a kit nowadays and the basics of success are in the FI section as far as what works and what doesn't... Sad and sorry to hear either way... Hope the guys who engineered the kit continue to fab stuff for the VQ community!
