Default For my mother, it has begun.

Unfortunately, my mother passed on 2/2/12 from pneumonia caused by a staph infection in the lungs that was developed in the hospital. RIP Mom I will always love you.

In her honor, and with the money i am receiving, I am FIRST AND FOREMOST paying full tuition cash to UTI as she always dreamed I would be able to attend there because she was the only person who understood my true passion. I will be enrolling in the Nissan program.

With the remainder of funds, I have decided to begin a Stillen S/C project. Which brings me to my next question:

Will the stock internals be able to handle this kit? Or is it more of: after X amount of PSI, you have to forge the engine?

Thanks for any replies in advance. I look forward to being a part of the F/I section from now on

Sorry to hear about your mother.

I would go with Vortech and search Vortech builds. You will be fine with stock internals. Just make sure you get a good tune.

Sorry to hear about your mom, but that's where my sympathy ends.
Don't even touch the stillen kit.
Get a vortech if you must go with a supercharger.
Also I suggest you do a lot more searching, the FI section isn't very noob friendly.
Good luck at UTI.

I have not been able to to find a Vortech for the HR. After researching a bit i came across this from this forum:

shoot me a pm ONLY if you are serious, its probably going to run from 7000-9000 installed with everything you need. it WILL run perfectly...

thanks!!
Vortech does not have an option for the HR setup

I have been reading that GTM offers this:

http://www.gtmotorsports.com/product...cat=258&page=1

Any luck with GTM from other HR owners, or DE owners? pretty solid setup?

Sorry to hear about your mother man. My mom passed 5/4/2011. Went in for a Urinary Tract Infection and eventually contracted pneumonia. She was 77.

I have been very happy with my GTM kit but mines' is twin turbos. Quality is off the chain and they are very supportive.

Didn't see you had a HR. Go with GTM over the Stillen kit. Search for those builds instead of Vortech. Sorry about that.

The new stilled hr kits use vortech blowers, they're good to around 450 whp. If you go gtm get ready to wait a long time and then be shorted parts when you receive it finally. I'm still waiting a year later for my uprev license they shorted me, had to buy another one last year because of that.

sorry to hear about your mom. good luck at uti its a great school graduated from the houston uti back in may 2010. as to what every body said stay away from the stillen kit and maybe you should think of going turbo over supercharged. either way good luck with both the car and school

There's nothing wrong with the new hr stillen kits They use a vortech blower and come paired with uprev for tuning. I'd say for the price and if your looking to stay around 450 whp the stillen kit > gtm

Did u think about turbo instead of supercharger.. s&r make the single kit for the hr now .. its cheaper than the greddy and gtm kit

My condolences on your loss.I lost my Mom several years ago.I KNOW what you are going through.
Without sounding redundant,no problem with a SC install...keeping stock internals.
As with what others may have said, this is dependent on what is your HP objective and, budget.I know of several Z owners in my area that are running a SC(Vortech) set up
with other related mods(exhaust, intake,of course tune),to balance it all out and are getting an added 100hp.If you do go SC,I'd recommend Vortech.
