dont count on it, you can make alot of money at a autobody shop but not starting expect to work there 3 or 4 years and IF your good they will let you go flat rate which is where you will make money if your good.(50-100k a year depending on the shop.) until then expect about 8 bucks an hour, probably barely more then your making now at mcdonalds. better have certificates as well, i had to pass icar gold, ase certs, and score above 80% on the osha tests(actually pretty easy for the osha crap) before a shop would even look at me. cost me about 300 bucks, just for the test scores since you have to have two years work experience to actually be certified and 2 year high school vocational school only counts as one. then after all that still couldnt get a job at a body shop thats when i started working as a auto tech instead, then shortly after moved to parts, got a pay raise and had to do less work.

unfortunately its not the 60's anymore bert, its all about whats on tv people have forgotten that this hobby originated as a form of self expression and freedom. i mean hell why do you need a car for freedom when you can lock your bedroom door and facebook all your friends.
and op i read another of your posts, you arrogant little **** its not that hard to get a job at a shop have fun sweeping floors, because the people who WILL be making money are going to be people with 10+ years experience who know all the ins and outs and how to flat rate **** and have already proven themselves. mayby once in awhile you might get to spray some primer or sandblast something.

Tired of the dreamer threads.
Kids these days have all the tools to do research, they should be good at the internet they grew up with it. Yet they fail at researching. Even if I offered good build advice, by the time he gets the money it is obsolete.
Why even bother giving good life advice like "you are 17, focus on your education for now, etc, etc" when all they want is a car with a loud BOV.
Fawk my life, this generation of kids are fawking pathetic, worthless, scum bag excuses for car guys. I have forgotten more about coolant, then most of these rat b@stards know about cars.

dont mention high school achievements to adults really dude its going to make them laugh. high school anymore is a joke as are high school students, hate to be rough but the military asvab is given to high school students to make the grading scale. then when someone trys to join the military they are given that test to determine how they compare to current high school students.
the max is 99% which means your smarter then 99% of high school students currently. i scored a 95%, after being out of high school for 5 years, not furthering my education at all after that, half hung over, with 3 hours sleep, and completed the test in 15 minutes, when its supposed to take 2 hours. yah kinda shows how bad high schools have become in as little as 5 years and i have no doubt my generation wasnt that stellar either.

This forum is tough for newcomers, that's why I don't post anything and just do my research. I recommend focusing on school, completing college and getting a good job. If I knew what I know now I wouldn't have wasted money on buying and modding cars. It's more enjoyable and cool when you have a good job and financially stable, trust me on this. Besides it doesn't make sense to have a nice ride and no money to back it up.... loser forrealz.

Again I highly advise that you read the stickies and watch the videos... only the strong survive around here, and you my firend have failed to do your homework and come to the table with ANY sort of knowledge, your statment of "which kit is right for me" is like me asking "what STD is the best to have?" now had you asked "how do you feel about the XYZ kit, as far as install time, and performance vs. cost?"
and now i wait...
