new member saying hi, twin turbo G35
Whats up guys? I've gotten a lot out of this site as far as info on my build so i figured I'd share what Ive done so far. The last car I did this much work to was my turbo integra but that was ten times easier to work on! So on to the good stuff- my car has been in its new home for about 5 months now-the shop! Ive got a built sfr short block and twin turbo kit with gt30s. All the fundamentals covered- deutchwerks 300lph pump, aam stage 1 fuel return, 800cc injectors, motordyne v2 3" exhaust and a bunch of other things. The head is stock. I originally bought a southbend stage 4 clutch but I ended up switching over to a os giken twin. The sfr kit is situated in a way that the motor has to be dropped to install the clutch....blows. I also originally had haltech but Im running the osiris uprev instead. The car put down good power (450 to the wheels at around 9,10psi for a base tune) Once I actually get my car and can put the break in mileage on it, I'll go back for real tuning. My front tires wont be in till may but I should be good with the 19's for the break in- running hankook rs3s on 18"enkei pf01s, I went with 255 35 up front and 285 35 in the rear. Might need to go bigger in the rear but time will tell. Feel free to ask questions or if you want my opinion on going this route with a G/350.....$$$$$$. Anyone that has gone FI can tell you nothing ever goes right, the original budget is a joke and the worst thing a shop can tell you is - itll be done next week.
Ive got a few pictures but I'll post some more once I get the car tue or wed.
Ill keep you guys updated

Eh man... nice to see a fellow TT G in here- I don't know the SFR TT kit at all but a lot of your other stuff sounds pretty familiar. Why the transition from Haltech to Uprev? Just curious because I'm on the fence about Uprev right now. I know it's good for WAY over what either of us is running- buuuuuuuuuuut I keep running into issues with MAF based tuning and I'd like the security of integrated safety. What is your experience with Osiris? How about Haltech?
Anyway- welcome aboard.

Thanks for all the love guys. This site was a big help, especially being a former honda guy- My Hondas were always clean though! no ridiculous spoilers, vtec stickers
or anything!
-the gt30s are 3071s- .63AR, the manifolds are what finally sold me on the kit but with anything there are pros and cons with the kit. The uprev tuner was real close by and I got a chance to talk with him and he was pretty on point with his stuff. i ran into a problem with the haltech and my flywheel, we worked on it for a few days but I was getting impatient and went with uprev instead after I spoke with them. Being impatient is a no no btw cause it usually = more money!
Im pretty happy with the base tune they did and I know this thing can put out a lot more. Ill see how funds look but Im definitely doing a 3.3fd swap hopefully soon- I know traction is going to be a b@#ch
Should have the car tomorrow ( ha! Ive said that a million times!)
I put up some pics of the hankook rs3 and enkei pf01 18s that Ill put on after the break in mileage( the front 255s are backorder-FML)
I put in another shot of the oil sump(not a fan of it) and the turbos. We're doing a skid plate over some of that and tightened up the oil lines cause everything sits way too low for comfort.
Thanks again for the support!
@bmccann101- thanks, sometimes Im a philosophizer!

tune definitely needs a good bit of work, just in terms of AFR. my G is pretty low and where that sump is mounted isnt even a scrape point and shouldn't be the lowest point on the car. I know mine's not.
Its not the lowest point on the car but theres some pretty serious potholes and jacked up roads over here. I raised it about half an inch up front and the plate will just cover the lines- better safe than sorry you know. New York sucks dude. As far as the tune it aint perfect but its running and at this point thats good enough for me! Once Ive got some mileage put on it we'll dig in and clean it up, get some real numbers.

welcome.
