Angry P0011 code

Hello everyone. Im having an issue with my car, its got a built motor with greddy kit. I did research, but everyone seems to get it the p0021 code as well, which is the other bank. I only get the p0011. It stutters and sputters mid-range, anywhere from like 3k-4k. So the code is p0011, which is related to the cam sensor/vvt/timing, etc. I've had this code before and it would make my car run like described above. First time, I tried swapping vvt's, cam sensors, crank sensor, and EVEN pulling the front timing cover off to see if it jumped timing. Didnt come back for another couple months. Came back a second time. So once again tried the above and pulled front timing cover AGAIN. Both times, it was timed correct, nothing wrong at all... Then I rebuilt the motor for a little more power. Now its back again for the 3RD TIME! I dont wanna pull the front timing cover off again, especially after doing it twice before. And its intermittent. Sometimes its fine, sometimes its not. The only other thing I can think of, is getting a new engine harness.

Anyone have any other ideas??? Or had this issue before? It just came out of nowhere. Car has been running for at least 4 months with no issues. And now this code is back...

the FSM only list 3 possible causes for the passenger side IVT control...

> Crankshaft position sensor (POS)
> Camshaft position sensor (PHASE)
> Accumulation of debris to the signal pick-up portion of the camshaft

it shuts off cam timing, thats why the car feels funny in the midrange because thats where the cam should be most advanced.

Start with those 3 things.

you have to data log to figure out why it is setting the code
int/v tim: will give you in degrees amount of "corrected angle"
int/v sol: gives what the ECM is commanding the solenoid to do
if int/v tim is anything other than 0* (+/-1*) at idle then there is a base timing issue/electrical input error
if int/v tim does not change when you poke the throttle and ECM is commanding the solenoid to advance then it is wiring/solenoid/cam sprocket

I had a nissan guy plug up the consult III. With key on, engine off, bank 1 and 2 are at 0. With the engine on, bank 1 (passenger) read -14 degrees, bank 2 fluttered like 1-2 if I remember correctly. This was at idle. When revving bank 1 stayed at -14. So I disconnected the cam plug while engine running and consult III connected, still stayed at -14. So like said above, it has to be electrical.
But I also tested for ground and power. I also did a continuity test for the signal wire, and it was fine as well. 0 ohms too...

Any other ideas???

i would replace the sensors.

the sensors seem to be intermittent when they are starting to go bad. I know mine was hit or miss for almost a year before it finally failed.

probably the sensor on it's way out.

Mine would be fine for a few weeks then all of a sudden it wouldn't start and throw that code. I didn't do anything at all and it would just randomly fire up after a couple of hours. Continued to do this off and on until i just replaced hte sensor.
