The other thing I did was shaved the interior of the front timing case where it rubbed a bit. Not only did I give it more clearance, but it allowed me to see where the slack in the chain could come from so if it happened again, it wouldn't be a problem, and knock on wood since I've done all that it hasn't been an issue since.

i haven't used the flex feature yet. I just recently got it installed. I need too take it back for a re-tune on E85. Shouldn't be long. Plan on doing it after i get back from a vacation with the family..

awesome results.
i have that cam noise too. Never had it until this last short block swap. I saw one of my timing cam sprockets a little wear from the front cover so i swapped it with another set i had in the garage....that's what started my noise. I'm too lazy to take it apart and put the "good" one back in though.
