Its not that simple, you need to stay under 12.5:1@WOT for sure but if you dont correct the timing properly you will still get detonation. Either way you'll damage the engine.

AgentOrange, If I were you I'd stay around 11.5:1, and you can't use someone elses maps for 8 PSI if you value the life of your engine. You need to get your FI tuned for your car. There are just too many possibilities of differences. Especially if you're planning on running it at 8-10PSI.

This is like watching a car stuck on the railroad track. You have a good idea of what's going to happen, and you know it's going to be loud.

Like I said in my other post, education before detonation!

your frekaing me out man. Do yourself a huge favor, do NOT turn up your boost just yet. Let the pros do some R&D with that kit before you do your own... with time we can show you how to do it, without you showing us how not to.

Agent orange...you really ar ethe perfect candidate for having someone tune this for you. using someone else's map is a BAD idea. First, they don't have your car...only you have your car. Second, you don';t know if their E Manage is even set up correctly..all you know id that its set up. As you can clearly see from readings post on reflashed ecu's, what works on one car does not always work on another, and can prove disastrous. if you ahve this kind of moeny invested in your car, you would be well served to have someone intimately familiar with E Manage tuning to do this for you, at least from the outset.

Also, you mention A/F ratio...well, using what instrumentation? Here is the probe mounted? Have you datalogged your car eyt to even know where or if it needs adjusting? This is all the type of things you NEED to know before proceding to turn your boost up, especially on a ca that was never desinged for forced induction to begin with.
