hi.. much appreciate the flow of inputs.. I realize at this point its more of a guessing game.. but nonetheless taking it all in..

-no I dont have the GTM pulley mod.
-I dont have any other remaining mods other then the orginal list
-my car has 38,000 miles.
- im running on 94oct. when I was NA I used 91oct.. but put full tank of 94 before install.
- I dont know miles on the blower, the guy I bought it from ( who never installed it) bought if from another guy. but when I bought the kit, I did call Vortech with the serial# and beleive they said it was built in 2003-2004.
- we have not attempted any sand blasting on the 3.12 pulley yet.
- my mechanic/tuner specialty is Mustangs. and has built alot of vortech setups for mustangs. he has branched out into the VQ's the last couple years. and has setup Vortech, Greddy and Momemtum Z's and G's. and has tuned NA many vq's with Uprev. including mine before I bought the kit. so I would say he has good expericen with the Vq platform.

at this point.. there is not much I can do.. until he gets back on the car.. to test the intercooler and investigate the blower..

if all was good.. I would expect to see at least 8lbs.. with my setup.. but the best we got was 6lbs..

my gut says, its a leak somewhere.. and not the intercooler, blower or belt slip.

thanks.!

UPDATE..

ok.. its been a while since i could make an update.. cause ive been waiting for the car to be tuned again..

I appreciate all the help and feedback people were offering previoulsy etc..

so I finally have some results..previously we were not seeing the right boost with 3.12pulley.. so we stopped without any results.

in between the last attempt an now... my mechanic/tuner removed the blower and opened it.. checked everything, which was good.. and put it back together etc..we suspect that there may have been a leak in the blower previously. and when he put it back together is solved whatever it was.

on the 3rd tuning attempt.. the car was finally making near the right boost around 8lbs.. previously it was only making 5-6lbs.

I attached the graph and two screen shots.

the final results are 329whp and 296wtq. using Uprev ( +94oct)
NA with Uprev, was 232whp and 215wtq ( 91oct)

the numbers seem kinda low.. but two things to note.. its on a Mustang Dyno..and this one in particular reads very low and 2nd.. he did a very conservative tune..

he said.. it was no where near pinging/knocking etc..
he said he could push with more timing for more power no problem.. but left it like this for now.

now when I see some guys here.. with close to 400whp.. I assume its with much more timing..

let me know what you think
thanks.

every dyno is different. Does the guy have any other Z dynos to compare to?

mustang dynos can read really low sometimes. In the end, it's just a comparison tool for other cars or your own car that you mod. You can't really directly compare the numbers with other internet dynos, though you can ballpark them.

Your car was probably making 200-230whp stock on the dyno I'd assume though since that seems to be the range other stock Z's dyno at on mustang dynos. So 100whp is a considerable gain.

the Mustang does read low.. but Ive seen plenty of members with similar setups making close to 400whp on the mustang with the 3.12 and making the correct boost ranging from 8-10lbs with the 3.12..

yes.. in my research, ive read that different exhaust mods etc.. can effect back pressure.. but I dont think by that much.. im losing easily 3-4lbs of boost.. but again, ive read plenty of vortech threads.. with similar boltons with no issue regardin boost etc..

only 5-6lbs makes no sense..?
hmmm im not very experience with F.I. and wild guess but any leaks? I.E. exhaust?

hi.. thanks for the feedback..

the exact figures of my car NA before the Uprev Flash last summer were
211whp and 214wtq..91oct, on the mustang Dyno

that was just boltons no flash ( Injen full CAI, spacer, UR crank, berk hfc's, Ichiba ypipe and Tanabe exhaust)

then with the Uprev tune it made: 232whp and 216wtq still with 91oct, not sure why the torque didnt really change much. he suspected the car was losing power with the long tube intake, but we did not get a chance to convert it to short ram.

21whp gain.. doesnt sound like much.. but I sure could feel it in the car.. it drove so much better..

then the most recent 3rd Dyno attempt with the vortech kit on with 3.12pulley
it made: 329whp and 296wtq with 94oct. at approx 8lbs.

as I mentioned above.. he suggested he went conservative/moderate with the timing. so there is still probably room for more power.. and still be more or less safe.. but he left it at that.

as you can see from the graph chart he made 3pulls.. each one making more power.. and then he just stopped at 329hp..

considering a decent 10-15% difference on a Mustang.. its probably close to 380whp and 340wtq on other dynos..

the problem is.. I still havent driven it yet lol..! im going crazy..
he had to keep it cause there was a minor oil drip.. so he kept the car to fix it ect..

the last issue.. is the cog belt.. if you recall its not lining up properly on the J/S cog pulley.. it rests just over the edge of the J/S cog, and I can see it already starting to show wearing.

I showed him the diagram from your thread to line up the washer on the proper side of ilder pulley.. he suggests he tried everythying.. and could not get it right.. so im going to have to figure out a way to get that corrected..
I dont want to keep wondering that the belt is going to snap at any given moment.
