Danny and Todd from Assualtech seem to be standup guys as well. I've known them personally for about a year now. Sometimes they can have stuff backordered, but they've always taken care of folks from what I've seen.

And another "second" for Z1 Motorsports. (www.z1motorsports.com)
One of the best in the business. Their personal attention, to even the smallest order, is second to none.

gotta agree with jcity. Whenver I would ask for a quote or a detailed explanation on a question I had, I got a short, arrogant response. Of course, customer service is everything to me, so I didnt deal with them. I don't care about the cheaper price they can offer, if their attitude sucks I won't buy from them.

Jas from JDS
Scott from Vivid
Mark from Bpauto
Danny from Slammered-inc(aka GreenGoblin)
GearHeinz

Jas, Danny, and GearHeinz were the only reason my car ever got completed with all the problems I had early on. There are still very good vendors on the forums and BPauto is probably the best on here for hard to find JDM parts.

I will say that I'm very disappointed in Z1auto as I once would chime in on their behalf... I did have one double charge but it was taken care of immediately. A month later I was refunded all my money for the wing and Adam simply said he couldn't get it. I don't get why only the overseas customers were getting billed 2x's... either he's savvy in international law or it's just a coincidence? I hope the guys who got Fked get their money and a lot of people should be happy that the Mods have stepped in and have gone the extra to make sure we here on the forum don't get screwed.

Another Z-1 Performance story...
A year or so ago I was shopping around for a Shine body part.Noted Z-1 Perf.
was a distributor.Called Adam, asked about the price fit, quality.how long to get etc.
There was this silence...he then told me that he guessed the Shine stuff was OK.
At least he did not have any complaints. If the the Shine stuff was junk,"thats their problem, not mine".
I hung up and ordered from Shine direct(their product is great,by the way).
This guy gives a bad name to the many excellent vendors like Z1 MOTORSPORTS and,
The Z Store.

I had one good purchase from dan and one flakey customer support.

I got my cluctch no issues, but my seibon fenders although i got a deal fit terribly and dan was no help dealing with seibon.

I don't have the time to hound him for it so I don't, although the fact that I paid and have been shipped my item and am now no longer worth dealing with pisses me off.

Hit him up again. He's a good guy, just sometimes gets covered up.

I don't do much business with them because most of the stuff they sell are all things I pick up second-hand. (I'm a cheap bastard)

If you want, I'm happy to just say something to him in private to see if he can help you out a little bit more. No promises, but say the word and I'll mention something to him on the side.

Sad to see this happen to Z1 Performance, I've done plenty of business with Adam in person. I always got my stuff, he'd even drop my stuff off to me at my job numerous times...

it was $12,600..... $6,300 wire transfer + $6,300 AMEX charge = $12,600 thats enough money to make a house call and get the money even if you live over seas.

The fenders are already on the car, I'm not really planning on doing that again

I thought he was a good guy, and he had my recommendation prior to that but I mean whatever at this point. Just won't get me coming back again.

I have little to add about this "Z1 Performance" business- except to reitterate that they're not Z1 Motorsports- who I have dealt with and who has done nothing but impress me through multiple transactions.

I have to do some more research to figure out if this other "clone" business is a vendor supported by IB or if they're just moonlighting under the reputation of the other vendor. To have two Z1 vendors under one banner (IB) at once creates problems for everyone.
