Those are freaking sick. Love the setup, any pictures of this custom intake manifold? Ahh, that is so awesome. Mad props!
Twin 60mm Toyota Celica TB's, big balance tube. Straight runs from the stock lower intake manifold. (which we straightened slightly by port matching). It's all moly as it's strong, easy(ish) to work with and we had it in abundance. What you see is the full run of the intake plumbing. Intercoolers sit on either side of a fuel cell just infront of the engine.
Some old shots. The Fortin Transaxle has been replaced with an Albins sequential. The water bypass has been removed, (along with the T stat)
Being plated. And yes, they are teeny tiny little T25 manifolds.
About the load as someone mentioned... especially on dirt the loads aren't the same...
400whp in a pathfinder vs a 350z vs a buggy are completely different things, I think that's important to notice.
Even if the weight is the same, the traction isn't.
PS you ever go to the dunes in pismo?
I need to start lurking around there... I want to see an NRE car out there.
Very true. I don't get much of a chance to sit at 100% throttle for very long before having to grab another gear. First, which is 118kph (73mph) is done with in about 70 feet. Fifth gets scary with no windscreen and chews up the track very quickly. She's geared for 280kph, I've done 242kph before running out of track.
Never been to Prismo. I've only managed a few hours testing at Plaster City before blowing my Honda motor. I'll be back though to do the Baja 1000.
