i was just curious.. will the supplied 79.5" serp belt that comes with the non-rev vortech kit.. work with the a 3.12 pulley..?

or do you have to change the belt too to accamodate for the smaller pulley..?

if so.. what serp belt ( brand/size) are people using.. when upgrading to the 3.12 pulley..

for a stock belt layout.. no pulley mods, or timrods layout..

Yes it will work as long as you still have enough adjustment in your pully. When I switched to the 3.12 pully I just got a new belt though bcause mine was pretty narly looking, dont remember what size, just went to the Autozone and got a Gates belt that was 78" i think...

 

you drop 1/2" in belt size for each 1/4" decrease in pulley size

in the end its easiest to buy 3 or 4 belts around that size, use the one that is the tightest and return the rest.
