another tn turbo bites the dust
Ah you're right. I didn't see that .63 was the largest option.
Hell, maybe I'll look into a different kit. Wonder if there's any market for a TN kit with a blown up turbo. I only put about 35 miles on the turbo after the seal went, so at least it shouldn't be damaged beyond what a basic rebuild will take.

That shouldn't have happened. It came with a restrictor, right?
The Garrett 60-1 is available with an .82 a/r. Cheap replacement that probably has better oil seals. http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=TBN

Not sure about a restrictor. I believe I read that TN builds them into the turbo, or its in the fitting they supply with their kit. I didn't build this car, I bought it from someone who had all of the work done at GTM in CA. I assume it was done properly. I just now pulled off the intake pipe and found that there's no shaft play, but there is a decent coating of oil on everything. I'll check out the Garrett one though, thanks!
No warranty? 35 miles is either a factory defect or improper installation. I only recommend the Garrett because it's affordable and as others have said, it's pointless to get a bigger turbo unless you upgrade the rest of the kit.
After running a compression test to make sure it wasn't the engine, I put everything back together, drove easy for a few days and finally made a full boost pull to redline. Filled the road with a thick cloud of smoke from the tailpipes. Guess at least now I know where all my oil's been going..
