Default Vortech V2 T-trim? Still available?

Ok so I am getting a built motor and am thinking... Why not upgrade the SC unit while I am at it? So I started searching and saw that someone mentioned a V2 T-trim unit but when I checked out Vortech's site they mention it in a description but I do not see it on the V2 page... Is it still avail?

I also tried searching for the differences between the T trim and Si trim that people are having luck with but do not see any threads with them compared. If I missed it and am blind please point me in the right direction and post a link, I wold appreciate it... I know the stat differences as I read them on the Vortech site but is the T Trim that much more powerful than the Si trim with the efficiency differences?

Link to where I see the V2 units but not the T trim listed: http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/view.php?pcat=17

Thanks for any help or for pointing me in the right direction so I can research this some more.

I've found that at times its better to just CALL someone thats an expert
on what info you are seeking rather than doing a search.Could be its
better for you to go "old school" on your question and talk to a live
person. You could call Vortech directly. However, since this application
is focused on our cars,I suggest you call Z1 Motorsports. They have
done tons of Vortech installs and are a distributor.Their number is:
770-838-7777.Best to ask for Jon Parham.

Yes, they have a P/N for a V2 T-trim setup as a direct replacment for a 350z

Call: Superchargers Online they will make you a good deal.

A little Birdy told me about a New Vortech Blower.......

A V2 Ti-Trim ( inbetween a V2 T-trim and a V7-YSi-trim )

No Specs yet, should be in the 1400 cfm range.

Hmmm, not sure I can wait till it comes out plus I would think the T Trim would almost be the upper limit of the auto tranny... Dont want to 'push' it too much, looking for a bit of stability / reliability as well (or at least as much as I can expect) ...

V1 is straight cut gears and V2 is helical gears.

V1 T-trim is what most people have/had when they talk about T-trim blowers.

I too would also go with a Ysi with appropriate pulley if I was swapping out headunits.

Vortech now makes a V2 T-Trim HD Heavy Duty, but you need to buy the whole SC. Not a send in to covert you existing Blower into a T-Trim.

But Ya, I'd go with a YSi and a 10 Rib Pulley Setup.

I was planning on buying a whole new blower... Would think the YSI would be a tad 'too much' unless I could tone it down a bit for my needs... Was looking at possibly a T to get into the boost a bit sooner as I would be able to use a slightly smaller pulley on the front end... But a YSI??... I dunno how that would work out and how soon the boost would kick in? I need to research that one a bit as it was never even on my radar until you guys just brought it up...

Gives me something to do, thanks

Just read your thread here... https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...p-vortech.html Seems like ALOT of other 'needs' when going past a certain limit... Hell I just want good safe fun and not looking to get that 700 magic number... I will be real, real happy with being right around 500HP so I can keep it safe and not kill this build (rated at 650) ... Also got a auto and I need to keep that happy as long as I can... YSI seems like a damn monster.

its no different than any other supercharger, you just put the pulleys on it that make the HP/trq that you want. The bigger charger will be easier on your transmission as well bc the it will make max trq later in the powerband.

In reality, their isnt much difference in size between the S and the T trim. All the top dynos from either unit overlay more or less. If you want something different than what you have now, ysi is the only option

My plan was giving the T trim a try with the 2.87 to get that power (tq) a bit earlier in the powerband instead of waiting for 3-3500 before it starts to really build up. I can't find a whole lot of info on the YSI in searching... Anyone have one on a Z or G yet with experience?

A V7 YSI will be a Waste of time Without a minimum of a 10 Rib Serp Setup, Nobody has done one , that I know of.

Hey OldMan... Is this the intercooler you went with?? http://www.cxracing.com/mm5/merchant...gory_Code=INCO Looks like it from some of your posts and the diameter you spec'd out. The one for the Supra... You still happy w/ it? Working well for you? Thanks!

And yeah, not sure about that Ysi... Looking more into the T or V2 Si at this point... And between the 2 I'm thinking, why not go with the newer version since they are very close in specs. (Not to mention it's about a grand less than that Ysi trim)

Yes, I am still reading alot and researching...

there was one of the pro drifters using ysi, had one for sale in the classifieds a couple months ago dont know the details on the setup though. imo if going with that type of setup though i would say have some pulleys made to use a cog type belt not a serp setup.

Thinking of sending my SC in to be built to a T-Trim. Also exploring the option of the YSI as well.

I was also looking at that 928 upgrade now... Searching around and seeing some interesting stuff.... How much is it to get a SC built up to a T ?

the 928 will get you to 500whp, but that's probably as much as I would recommend, as getting 600whp with that setup you will be overspinning the bearings of the blower by a lot...
