Ahh i see what you're saying. I love budget builds. Not everyone has 10-20k to blow on an initial build. Plus stock block engines are cheap to come by. Especially DE's. I say bad because i want to keep my expectations low so in the end i will ne pleasantly surprised.

I will with hold negative comments as long as I get to laugh and torment endlessly in 5k miles(if it makes it that far) when the bearings are shot and cause one of the wheels to hit the housing and shatter likely sending bits into the engine

Well it's a good thing I only drive the car 3k miles a year, then I'll be set for almost 2 years!

Also the utec has overboost protections, so I'm not completely worried

I have no hate for this build except for the wastegate and turbo, which, I understand you already addressed with your Utec for boost cut...but what's the point? If you're on a super tight budget, sure...but it's $230 for a 2-bolt Tial and if you want to keep the eBay turbo, you could at the very least have a shop rebuild it. I know a guy who ran a rebuilt/balanced eBay turbo on his Mazdaspeed6 making about 380whp for over 10k miles. That's my recommendation for the absolute minimum "reliable" budget build.

Also, what are you going to do with the a/c line? I've heard that even heat wrapping it doesn't prevent from melting through. Otherwise, I'm interested to see your results as well.

2000 degree copper heatwrap and furnace cement and yes it's very close to the pipe and has to be bent

Don't let us down.... you MUST post dyno sheet and check back in regularly.

That said, build on...

should learn a little more about that, it takes time to react you can still easily blow the motor since it isnt a "oh **** 30 psi boost cut it!" and it instantly happens your engine will still see that high boost and end up like the pictures shown in here.

EVEN WITH the over boost the number 1 point of failure ive seen from ebay crap is bearings, no ecu has bearing failure protection

like i said im not going to make negative comments till it goes boom just giving warnings.

He'll be lucky if the bearings fail. A lot of the ebay turbos aren't even balanced (correctly*).

Yes there are stories of them lasting, but 90% of the time those turbos eat themselves alive within a few thousand miles (as Jerry stated).

OP Seriously, you're a dumbass if you run that turbo. Everything else has the potential to work, but that turbo is going to sh*t it's self. You're better off spending another 500-600 bucks, buying a masterpower turbo and not having turbo shrapnel possibly get into your engine.

Again you should also buy a cheapo ebay intercooler to replace that one. You can easily get a bigger one that will help you make more power/reduce detonation for about 100$. You could easily find one that swaps in.

If you're not willing to adjust the kit even a little bit, you deserve a busted block.

Wastegate spring is only going to be 5psi. I am not shooting for anything over 350whp and if It does go over that I will probably tune it down or lower the boost.

Since people are commenting on overboost(cheap godspeed wastegate diaphragm failing)
I've been looking into overboost protection and I might install dual BOV's one adjustable one that will open at 7psi wthat does not see manifold pressure (overboost protection) and one that opens from vaccuum(when throttle is closed) It will only cost me about $35 to add it in and modify a piece of the intake tubing(which i need to do anyways since I do not have the stock MAF tube which bolts to the end of the charge piping)

I've used cheapers turbos than the godspeed for two custom turbo set-ups. One in a kid sephia and one is a kia spectra. I'm not worried about them exploding, but bearings were an issue for the ebay ones. When the turbo starts pulling oil I will replace.

FWIW I'm running tial knock off wastegates. There's nothing wrong with a lot of knock of wastegates.
This is a video of how long it takes a BROKEN knock off gate to fail:

The only difference between a knock off and the real thing is the casting material. If it takes a busted one 6,200 cycles to fail I'm totally fine with that. No street car is going to see that much sustained temperature. Maybe if you were driving the **** out of your car lap after lap on the track. At that point though, lots of parts on most cars would be failing.

Food for thought.

Cool thread regardless.
I'm in for results good bad or in between.
There were engines and turbos and all that sheet far before kids found out Honda's were cool..far before a 350z came out, and far before HKS was more than a couple of dudes sharting in diapers.
350whp for 2500 bucks is dope.
Id be stoked if someone really dug in and found out what ebay crap you can order and really install..where u can cheap out and where u need to spend a hair more.
Nitrous on a utec shouldn't b the only way to add 100hp for 2 grand.

Still a cool thread
..and good timing as well.. just feels like the right time for this lol..dunno.....call me crazy
