Default Vortech thick white/grey smoke only at WOT+oil on outside of coilpacks?

little background the car has a 2.87 pulley fuel return system 600cc inj momentum intercooler and other supporting mods. the car gets tracked monthly and autox'd all the time. doesnt see too much street time. driven very hard

well last week after plug change i saw tons of oil in passenger side spark plug well, got a good deal on both brand new valve covers, installed with new valve cover gaskets. at my last track day i had light smoking issues at wot. well today after everything is fully installed and good went for a drive. hard WOT pulls got tons n tons of white (maybe greyish smoke) once boost came in. under normal driving and idle no smoke no issues nothing. no lights nothing out of place. under WOT AFR are right where they need to be idle aswell. oil pressure seems normal.. i did notice that there was oil on the passenger side coil packs and valve covers (will take pictures) i know it wasnt there before because the valve covers were brand new. no idea where its comming from. will be doing a compression test tom to (knock on wood) hopefully rule out rings. after a little research i thought maybe it could be the seals in the supercharger letting oil into intercooler/motor? smoke only pours out when in boost...also considered headgasket? any ideas, things to check would be great. thanks

Maybe disconnect the cog belt and see if it still throws out a lot of smoke.

will try this for ***** and giggles. but after harbor freights compression tester.. all cylinders got 165-170 except driver side front 2 cylinders (1 and 2?) both of those got 90 and 95 :-(... my question from here is why only smoke under boost? with it being that low u would think it would smoke frequently. and i found out the oil is comming out of the spark plug wells passanger side is full again even with brand new valve covers? any explanation. i know what must come now i just would like to learn more as to why my symptoms are the way they are also. why suddenly?... help me learn and teach me something please.

This sounds eerily familiar to what happened when my stock block died...I was reading low on Cylinder 2 in my case

I'm no motor expert but I'll give it a shot:

A possible cause for low compression is that the piston rings are worn (that was the case in my situation); they may not be so worn that when you aren't in boost the blowby (exhaust gas/oil seeping through the worn rings) isn't too bad, but when you go into boost the pressure is significantly more that more blowby shows up and generates all that smoke...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

OP, it eventually got soo bad that the car was running like crap and almost undriveable; when it did go it sounded like a bad subaru and a ton of smoke was seeping out out the exhaust...i did manage to drive it home 10 miles from the freeway, but it was pretty embarassing...

sadly, it sounds like your motor is getting tired. did you run a leakdown test along with the compression test? that will help you diagnose the issue. hopefully its not too serious, but i'd start looking for a low mileage stock block (or minor build) to drop in when she goes...

if the cylinders are leaking that bad, when you put boost on it, you are just blowing everything right past the rings out the exhaust.

just need to refresh the motor. hone and rings.

ill do a leak check when i get a chance hopefully this weekend. thanks for the information guys... at this point if im going to tear into the motor might as well mildly build it. i dont want more power per say just better reliability. really dont want to spend too much but what would you guys suggest?

since the motor has to come out, rods pistons and rehone/bore. labor will be the same whatever you do. up to you how much you wanna spend on part.

doesnt matter as you have to supply a core anyhow. MOst shops are so backlogged, they just reuse yours. unless you mean u do all the labor. If thats the case, it will save a few thousand dollars (assuming you build it right the 1st time)
