Default Boost gauge quick question.

Ok so I've only been able to find one guide that was terrible. I have one simple question. Right now i have a turbonetics kit on my 05 Z. The top bov nip is connected to the plenum nipple. Im now installing my boost gauge. My question is, do i run the line as follows, plenum to T fitting one line going to gauge, other to top bov? Because i know the bov shouldn't just be left with no vac. Please don't flame me, new to f-i. Also if anyone knows a good hole to run the line through the firewall on drivers side, that would be much appreciated.

Just install a tee off the plenum, boost gauge input one side the BOV the other - as long as everything is sealed up then it's all the same.

no flaming here…everyone, at some point, was a beginner at everything...
