I'm going to build my vq the motor is at the machineshop anything special I should know about building the block so far here are the parts I'm going with
Wiseco pistons

Acl race bearings

What all should I have done to the block? I'm new to building motors the shop is gonna fully assemble it I searched but didn't find any special instructions please help thanks
Ps I'm doing new valve seals possibly ported heads but leaving the heads mostly stock for now

Also I'm planning for around 550hp getting fuel return dc header I have a precision 6266 and I'm building my own turbo kit 850cc injecters I would just like some input thanks!

go with what the shop recommends, there are measurements to be taken to determine if you need it, machinists straight edge is going to be required if you insist checking it yourself that will determing if block or heads are warped, check trueness of the journals ect. its pretty involved but if your just going to have the shop do all the work just go off there recommendations.

obviously you havnt searched well enough though because if you did you would know that porting the heads for 550 hp is just plain useless.

alright thanks thats what i am trying to figure out what needs to be done. Im really just goin off of import parts pro stage one built block and they had that listed. I will tell them my goals and see what they reccomend, they have built plenty of race engines but probably not to many vqs lol. So the completly stock heads will be fine for 600hp? sorry i have been searching but on my phone its hard to do haha any other usefull info please chime in if i figure out how to load pics onto here i will post some pics of my build.
thanks

stock heads are good for beyond 600 hp, hell stock cams are good for 600 hp just requires the proper size turbo
