Default Vortech Supercharger failed AGAIN

I have a 2004 Vortech supercharged 350 with 19k. Back a few years ago my s/c bearings failed so I sent it to Vortech and they rebuilt the s/c. I had it reinstalled and it failed again with in 1000 mi. This happened twice more till Vortech gave me a new one. I have put 3-4k on this s/c and it failed again. I think that it may not be getting enough oil, I don't know. What to do HELP please!!!!!!!!!!!!

there is a small filter on the oil line where it connects to the blower. If you feel like it's not getting enough oil you should look at that filter make sure it's not plug. I cleaned mine about 6 months ago and it was really dirty. (in order to get at that filter the blower needs to be off the braket) good luck.!!

I would definitely be looking at oil supply. I really have a hard time believing that 4 or 5 bearing sets have prematurely failed.

To be honest, I am surprised that Vortech continued throwing new bearings and a new blower at the problem.

It is most likely an oil supply problem. A blocked feed line, dirty or block filter, excessive dirt in the oil.

Equally important is the oil return line, it must flow free. If the oil can't get out the return, then oil can't get in thru the supply line. It could be blocked or pinched, or just not rounted in a smooth manner.

How does the bearing failure manifest itself? Crunchy bearings when you spin the blower?

Louder than usual noise that sounds like an obstruction in a fan blade

Obstructed feed? Obstructed return?
What did this end up being?
