350z turbo headers
Has anyone had turbo flange headers custom made for the G / Z? I know it would be expensive but....just curious.

I now have the exhaust manifolds aps. but now I have to do to you a question:
what type of turbines I can fit under these exhaust manifolds?

any turbo that can run a t25 housing can fit on that manifold. But you are also limited on the compressor size in terms of physical space.

FWIW, there are some new drop-in billet wheels and ultralight turbines for MHI-based turbos that fit in a TD05 compressor cover, and T25 housings for that platform are plentiful and cheap (most are 8cm², I don't know what size the greddy housings are, but I'd assume they're similar since the T517Z seems to be what everything has been copied from)...
I run a 7-blade billet extended tip 20g compressor (standard TD05h turbine, 8cm² housing) with a tiny TD05-sized subaru compressor cover (<5" diameter) on it in my MR2. It's a ~58lb/min+ wheel (It's made over 600whp on a dynojet), but the smaller compressor cover sacrifices a bit of flow for better response without really affecting the surge line.
The new extended tip wheels are pretty much surge proof anyway (the MHI 20g is notorious for surge on smaller engines for pressure ratios above 1.8. It's even worse at altitude in Colorado where I live). I'm guessing most guys with MHI-based greddy kits don't run enough boost for it to be a problem, but the 18g has a similarly sh°tty surge line, though not as bad as the 20g. The 20g (which the 18g is based on) is actually a pretty poor compressor design. If you look at the models, the rotor ratio on the 20g is well into the area where efficiency drops off quickly. The 18g isn't as bad, but it's definitely not "good."
A pair of 9-blade STS TD05h frame turbine wheels coupled to a billet 16g ET compressors would outflow a standard 18g compressor and very slightly outspool a 16g- possibly even a GT28RS- if what we've seen with the 20g variants holds true. The billet wheel is heavier, but it's also more efficient (drastically improved slip) and tends to spool a couple hundred rpm quicker than a standard 20g wheel due to the higher blade count, while flowing about 20% more air.
The only issue is that you need to run the upgraded thrust hardware with the bigger, heavier wheels- not only due to weight, but due to the higher flow rates. Kamak sells an awesome rebuild kit with a massive thrust bearing and double-oiled thrust plate (like what Holset uses).
