Do you mind sharing your wheel and tire setup? Sounds really good, I'm sure after some more seat time you have it all ironed out.

Thanks sir!! I was looking at doing the RT-S', but I couldn't find someone with a definite size to use. If anything, I can go this route..You on stock axles? or upgraded as well?

Ya, Stock Axles……

The RT-S is a Very Nice Looking Wheel, wish I had those instead…..

With a Bias Type Wrinckle Wall Slick, there is not the Shock Load on the drive train like there is with a Radial Drag Tire.

Also, the Radial Drag tires to not work well with a Stick Car, but work Great with an Automatic Trans.

Are you Going with Skinnies up front?

If so, I have some more addition info for you.

Nice,

If I went RT-S, I wonder how much different in sizing it would be if any.

As for skinnies, I'm actually debating on that. You can PM or post here if you want either works. Thanks so far with the help.

+1111. Stock axles will handle just about anything you throw at them with a tall bias ply tire. Truth be told even DSS pro axles will break with DR's on a 6mt if you aren't careful.

The size of the RT-S should be very very close to the same, I'd say almost no difference. In an 8" Wide they do make an 8" and a 8.275", Why, I have know clue.

With a 15 x 4 wheel (Skinnie) up front, you'll need a 1/4" thick Spacer to clear the Caliper.

With the Spacer you'll need a (1/4" longer) .750+/- Long Mag Shank Type Lug to make up for the spacer. Stand length on that wheel is .500+/-

I loose about 60-65 pounds of unsprung weight of the front end with the skinnies.

Plus look get a better reaction time. my reaction times have been .072, 068 and .029 with skinnies………

You will improve you ET about .010 to .015 at lease.

Yes…..but because of the Brembo's you need a 17" wheel, front and back. A 16" wheel will work in the back, but finding a wheel & Tires to match up is a B-itch, so I'd go to the 17".

You just need to Hunt on the internet to find this stuff.

Lol at a .8 second burnout and the camera man going "that's a good burnout"

Too slow getting off that clutch out of the hole. Work on cleaning up the shifts they will speed up when you do.

Congrats on your new time.

Okay great!! Any reason why you only went with a 8" wide wheel and not 10" or 10.5"? Weight maybe? Most of the guys I know, on a different platform of course, run those sizes.

Thanks for all the info so far. I really do appreciate it.

you could with a 10, but the wider the wheel, the wider the Tire Section gets.

for an 8" 5.5BS

for a 10" 6.5BS

This keeps the Tire in the same position for either wheel.

Awesome!! Appreciate it! Now to the pricing and getting it all in the works. Retail on the wheels are like $462 each plus tires. Thanks again for all the info, been looking quite a few places trying to find the right sizes.
