Thought it was wheel spin at first, but yea even with a burnout that weak (or no burnout) a 1.8 should still be doable on ET Streets with a proper clutch drop.

 

If you guys word read all my treads, you would see that I was Spinning the tires, and was on the 7100rpm rev limiter 10-15ft out of the hole. So, for this run you guys are commenting on, I purposely slipped the Clutch so I would not spin the tires…. This was my best run of the day……

 

Heat the tires up correctly and you won't have to launch like that. Use 2nd gear.

Even off center dialing in a new suspension setup I ran 1/2 second faster (same mph) letting off. Thanks for reminding me

2. The traps are less than 1mph away so it's a fair comparison

3. Half a second is an ETERNITY in drag racing

4. If you want to compare dollars spent you would still likely lose. Think about why.

Don't get butthurt, the car is making good power, the driver needs to bring it together. If I was trapping 125mph on slicks and skinnies and not running 10's I'd be embarrassed.

 

Alberto, You have a Built Darton Motor Twin turbo with all that HP, and CAN'T get into the 10''S, your car should run 10.50's, NOW THAT'S EMBARRASSING…..
