Yea, OP is proving to be a complete idiot. Typical n00b jumps into FI doing zero research and doesn't understand the optional supporting mods he agreed to pay extra for ARE NOT part of a TT kit and builds don't get done yesterday and with 100's of aftermarket components don't always come together like it was boosted from the factory the 1st day you pick it up.

Thread was closed due to the OP not having a leg to stand on, like the rest of them.

BlueKnight, it's evident that you have a personal issue with VinnyTen and his employees. It's unfortunate that your vehicle had mechanical issues unforseen by the staff at VTR, but to constantly bash a hard working individual that has been the leader in import racing, tuning and building is down right disrespectful. To make matters worse, you find other disgruntled clients(not posting the happy ones of course) to "join forces" to try and cripple a hard working American's reputation. One may I add that is one of the founding fathers of import drag racing. Any one that knows Vinny ten and his staff, knows they're not out to hurt anyone or anyones vehicle. This man has put imports on the map and time and time again proves that the impossible can be possible. If there is anything you can take away from your experience, it's that mistakes happen, and when dealing with these high horsepower vehicles, things can be overlooked by both parties. At the end of the day, all of us would like a 500+ vehicle to run like a top, but the reality of it is, no one is perfect. I have seen the time that Vinny puts into his business, and the last thing I think he would want to do is Jeopardize his business when his name is on the side of the building. So please, before we "gang up" on someone, please remember to see things from everyones side before hurting someones reputation.

I have never delt with VTR, but they have my respect. I wish I got one of thier engines back when I built my VQ.

AlwaysNBoost (you're clearly one of happy ones) the OP did a poor job @ documenting his build. But there's obviously a problem when some of what he is saying clearly are similar to my experience. I paid 10K for a Jim wolf technology twin turbo kit installed come to find out they sold me a used kit as new.. 7k for stage one motor from VTR week later I have oil leaks. Car overheats because the aftermarket fans were not wired correctly missing parts. I called VTR informing them of this problem and they made it clear to me that they had no intentions of correcting it. VTR claims that there motors will not burn oil will not overheat then why am I having this problem with a motor that was only a week old? They claim that my motor made 500whp. Yet on anther Dyno it made 356whp. I'm sure if you were in my position you would have a problem as well. They say Photos are worth more than 1000 words.

For a customer to pay that much money for a build only the have it lose that much oil & over heat a week later is wrong. The shop should correct any problems the customer have & VTR did not.

The one thing I love about a photo is that it speaks for it self. If you think Brandon cleared it up after looking @ those photos then you can take your car to VTR. to have an engine leak oil & over heat a week after being built shows poor workmanship. Then to tell the customer you have no intention of correcting the problem is wrong. I'm trying to save the next guy the headache & lots of $$$ by posting my experience with this shop.

for all we know the engine could have been messed up to begin with, to me some of the pics (especially the one with your bumper in the pic) looks staged to me, you could have taken the o2 sensor out.... i can go do that to my car and say a shop did it. i am sure that when they do the work you sign something stating that it could damage your car.... just like i did when i dynod mine....

As I stated before I'm trying to inform other enthusiasts the risk of dealing with this shop.

one bad experience isnt going to keep people from going to a well known shop, a quick google search and you see nothing but good reviews. i dont know you, dont really care to... but you get treated by people how you treat people. if you were a total @ss why would they do anything to help you out
