++++++ on SOHO - good product and a great shop to work with. My Z will be back there next week to move closer to becoming an actual race car... so that I can pursue becoming an average race driver :-D

My state scans the OBDII port for emissions testing. The car has two convertors each having an outlet sensor and a pre-convertor sensor each sensor has an range that it must read within to avoid error codes. The web site states that kit will not throw error codes. How exactly is that accomplished?

I was hoping for a better answer than that. The cars ECU is expecting specific signals from the pre and post sensors to determine that the convertor is working correctly. Tuning isn't going to fix the absence of the convertors. I didn't think that you could just install the sensors in a section of the exhaust and not get codes. There must be something else involved, no?

nothing else involved. you can use defoulers to move the sensor out of the direct exhaust stream. That works most of the time.

But some cars will always get a CEL, esp the rev-up motors. If they claim it will not throw codes, then get that in writing that they will eat the costs of R&D if codes to pop up.

this kit seems to have a good reliability and clean look. i'm ready to get this kit but if someone else wants to get it too, we can get a better price than whats on their site.

Default Count me in..

Assuming SOHO allows some latitude around what kits are being ordered, I'm on-board. I'm wanting the "premium" kit with the less efficient GT3582R turbo (as opposed to the "X" version) since my engine isn't built, has only 18k on it, so I'm more interested in running at modest boost and extending engine life than I am at maximizing output. I want to last a good while before I'm forced to invest in a built motor, and feel some enthusiasm for this kit because it seems to offer rapid spooling and relatively good gains at very low boost. How many people on-board at this point?

Yea I'm going to stop power at 400whp. I'm not built either and I rather have reliability than more power. That's what this kit is built for. You can track it and not have to worry about heat soak or over boosting. So far it's me and you for the kit but let me talk to then and see what they can do for pricing. What year is your Z?

No Z for me, I got the bloated brother- 2007 G35 6MT coupe. Had 17k miles on it, spotless top and bottom (never even been driven in the rain), maybe $8k worth of tasty mods (no bling, just performance), and the price was so good I couldn't resist. Been appreciating the back seat too.

I'm more focused on torque, and I want it quick as possible. This system spools up quicker than anything else I've read about. If anyone knows of a comparable setup, one that gives nearly peak torque so soon- 370 at 3.4k rpm (and at less than 5psi!), I'd really like to know about it.

ok cool. yea my Z is a 2005 and only has 23k miles. i mainly use it as a weekend car and take it to shows. i have Turbonetics kit on it but this kit makes more reliable power.
