Tim, congrats on this setup, it is truly amazing. I hope you aren't too offended by chaparro78's comment, cause I for one, found it informative. It is easy to sitback and pick someone's choices in their individual setup apart, like Max was talking about, but when you see what kind of cheese that setup took to get, it quiets the crowd a whole lot.

Man, I was like you though, chaparro78, I did think 10K would do it for an installed TT kit with all the bells and whistles. Got an estimate from someone a long time ago that said 16K, and thought they were nuts. Now, I don't think they were completely off their rocker, especially with what they were offering in their kit. Begins to make me wonder if you can get a TT kit installed for under 10K with everything you need, lol.

I appologize for the silly question, but i was wondering if you can spontaniously change the psi settings of the turbo system? Are boost controllers the hardware to do this? and if so, is there any other recommended hardware? are they safe to use (in regards to turbo and engine life), and do they accurately change psi? Thanks

Spookykid - You can change the setting on the boost controller while driving... I think that is your question. The next question, is it accurate. Yes, to a certain extent. Anytime you are using a boost controller you need to watch for boost creep where you overboost. That is why you should have a boost guage with playback or constantly check the boost controller. If they are safe or unsafe is a trick question. They are relatively safe, but it is all relative. is a turbo safe on a NA motor... relatively.

440cc injectors and 450 rwhp? WHat fuel pressure are you running and what is your injector duty cycle? Looks like it is time to bump up those injectors and up the boost...

Hmm... someone help me here. I'd like to aim for ~400 rwhp... think it would be okay for normal driving, or should one lower the boost for daily driving (work and home)?

Also, I'd like to know how smooth the engine is... u kno any sputtering or popping during smooth constant acceleration (doesn't have to be WOT)?

looks sweet one question, does the aluminum bumper fit back on with that huge intercooler in place and i heard that you have to change the position of the air bag sensor. is any of this true?

thanks

The aluminum beam behind the bumper does not fit with the intercooler on the way. Also the air bag sensor has to be adjusted as well.

Car is smooth at 400 whp, but I will stick to 380 whp at 6.5 psi for daily driving. Idle can be rough at first start up, but that is it.

Beautiful set up! So how long did they have to keep the car for?
Hmmm, now the only thing holding me back is reliability

Yes. The only kit that does not do that is the "Ultimate Racing TT" which should be released in a month’s time, I think.

I know Jotech does this in Texas. I'm curious if there is anyone that is reliable to do something like this in California?

BTW, hi guys, great forum.

Hey t32gzz, those wheels you have. Can we get a side view of the car or a link to where you first saw the wheels online or something? Those are really nice.

Hey Tim!

Next time I see you drive down the alley know I'll be expecting a ride in your beast. If I ever get my 300 back together I'll show you what those turbo's will do in a 300 with the wick turned up a bit (I've got the TD05-18g kit in it). Maybe a ride will give me a kick in the butt needed to work on mine. I spilled MT-90 all over my garage floor the other day and got disinterested again. heh

I still think it's funny that you two live right by each other and it took us this long to figure out we both knew Tim.

sweet car! sorry if this has already been asked/answered, but is there any reason why you went w/ GReddy's kit over the PE kit? do you think there's more potential power, more usable power, etc.? any comments would be appreciated.
