Default What gauges are you guys running?

Just curious as to what selection of gauges my fellow FI guys are running.

My personally, I'm running fuel press, boost, and A/F ratio.

anything the ecu can see + a few others... boost, knock amp, oil temp, fuel pressure, water temp.

Using HKS Camp2 in on a display in my cubby. there is probably a pic around somewhere. IMHO, aesthetically much nicer than ProEFI display shown above

Stock Oil Pressure is pretty ball park, and oil temp is something I think anyone should run... on any aftermarket boosted car. Too high or too low, can cause premature wear or be a sign of serious problems.

A decent gauge with sender is like 100$, worth it.

+1.

I am running the Greddy Multi DA and AEM afr. One gauge but can display up to 7 different items. Boost, oil pressure, oil temp, fuel press, water temp, voltage, and egt. Also changes colors oooooaaaaa I have the Boost dial with oil temp and oil press. Plan on getting fuel press. All you need to buy is the sensor and hook it up to a little hub.

This thread got me wondering if folks are using a pc tablet to display info from a Haltech.

A quick google search only found a handful of threads in the Haltech forum but they were a couple years old. At that point the price was comparable to one of the Haltech RacePacks , whatever they call them. Now that tablets are cheap and you can get one with USB port wonder if that would work well......

i run a Carpc with a 7" touchscreen where the stock G35 nav was. Used that with my haltech. Now eveything is on my proefi display.

You'd have to buy a windows tablet, which are not very common or inexpensive compared to droid tabs. Mounting would also be cumbersome.

Yup....Hal returned my email this morning saying that you need a tablet that runs windows.

Found this one on amazon 7" $200

Amazon.com : Toshiba Encore WT8-A32 8-Inch 32 GB Tablet : Tablet Computers : Computers & Accessories Amazon.com : Toshiba Encore WT8-A32 8-Inch 32 GB Tablet : Tablet Computers : Computers & Accessories

can you elaborate on differences between Pro EFI display and the PC you were using?

Thank you

PC would have to boot up everytime you start the car, then load the ecu manager and connect. I know you can set ecumanager to autostart, but I'm not sure how streamlined you can make the whole process, and on a cheap windows tablet you're not going to get 'lighting fast' startups. IMHO i'd just get some gauges you like for the money.

Pro EFI I'm sure will be really well sorted and fast

You see my thread about wireless connection to haltech over USB? Went to my samsung tablet runnings windows 7. Solid state.

To the other guy, carpc power supplies are set up so that the pc stays on unitl battery voltage drops below a user defined level. Also with ssd boot time is nothing. You could have it booted in the time that you warm up the car.
