Default 02 sensors with stand alone?

I have a 03 engine and ecu with the narrowband sensors. I just bought a Haltech PP from another member on here. On my setup, i have two aftermarket widebands, one for each bank. Do I still need the oem ones installed or can i feed the haltech using the signal wires from the widebands.

Thanks.

just to be clear, the haltech is not a stand alone.

Haltech is a standalone. If you have widebands wired to the haltech, you dont need your stock narrowband o2 sensors.

If you have the Haltech PnP that eliminates the stock ECU completely, then you can just run without them without looking back. If you have the older one that cannot run the throttlebody and therefore needs the stock ECU still in the car to handle that, then if you take them out you will get DTC codes from the stock ECU for them. So you need UpRev to disable the DTCs if you want to remove them in that case.

I not only removed the sensors, but removed the wires for them all the way back to the ECU.

^i should have said "the haltech you just bought from me"...as i own the standalone.

Standalone can remove a lot of things. I want to remove the 4 sensors as well since they are all narrowband and worthless.

Ah...

He can still remove them without effecting the way the car runs at all, but he will have a check engine light unless he disables the codes with UpRev

To be honest, i couldnt care less about a check engine light because first i dont even have that light and i dont even own a z. I just don't want to jeopardize performance.

but to make this clear, the light being on is the only downfall? With the HPP harness piggyback, i can get rid of the 02 sensors right and use my widebands?

If you have a Haltech running the engine, and the Haltech isnt using the stock sensors, why would it effect performance to remove the stock sensors?

You might want to go into the Haltech software and double check that you arent using the stock sensors.
