Default ID Engine Bay Flange Help

This flange is a PITA and totally in the way for turbo remove and install. It on the left side.

I would like to cut it off but since I did not do the original work I am not sure if it is needed.

Anyone know what its for?

OK I found this kinda blurry pic of an 06 MT car. It appears its part of the manual clutch hydraulics...?

If both of the pictures are of the same thing then yes, its where the hard line goes to rubber line for the clutch slave cylinder.
