Unhappy Need help!! Idler Pulley 1

hi there.

I just bought a used HKS SC kit. and upon checking the parts, one of the pulley is missing. It is part # G13561-N53010-00 and its called smooth idler pulley #1. the pulley replace the stock pulley for one that comes with the kit and it doesn't have the pattern for the ribs(flat).

here is how the belt is setup when the hks sc is installed.. and the pulley that is missing is the no 5 pulley..

is it possible if i take the stock oem idler pulley bring it to the machine shop and ask them to skim\grind the pulley to make it into a smooth pulley?

or is it possible if someone who has the knowledge, skills and equipment make me the same pulley but without the groove\ribs.. ill pay thru paypal. i cant find anybody in my place that can make me an identical pulley.

thanks in advance

Another idea is buy UR aluminium idler pulley and smoothen it..

Or just install the sc without the pulley.

What do u think?

I'm not sure what all of your options are. But if it came down to it, I could make you one without the ribs.

I am not understanding what is going on, looking at the diagram, the #5 should be OEM and the ribs will not hurt anything.

Never mine, figured it out. Just buy an aftermarket aluminum pulley and a machine shop van easily cut the ribs off.

Thanks for the link mate.. Btw the oem idler pulley is ribbed\grooved while the supplied hks pulley is smooth. I need to replace it since with the hks setup, we will be using the smooth\back side of the belt to pass the #5 pulley. And i dont think its safe to use the ribbed pulley with the back side right?

Not safe, and the aluminum pulley I posted would take less than 5 minutes on a lathe to cut down.

Just take your Idler pulley to a machine shop and have them cut out the ribs i till it's flat....... Should be no more than $40.
