Default How much boost on 11:1 CR VQ?

Hey.

Is there anyone here that know how much boost you run with a Vortech before you getting detonation on buildt 11:1 CR VQ35DE (Non Rev-up) engine?

Im soon ready to fire up my newly buildt engine but im trying to figure out how much boost I can run before I need a water/Meth kit.

My engine is has stock cams, wiseco 11:1 pistons, eagle rods, HR headers and Cosworth intake manifold.

Thanks.

I'm 11:1 and I have ran as high as 17psi without issues on my procharger. Really I would run 17 all the time but I have belt slip issues.

It all depends on fuel and tune, if your using crappy fuel and have to much timing boom there goes your motor. If your using good fuel and safe timing you'll be good. What type of boost are you looking at? Supercharger, big twins, baby twins, big single, baby single. What type of power are you looking for?

I will be running a Vortech V2 Si and hopefully with 2.87 pulley. I think ill try this pulley and just run less timing and see how it goes.
I will also run on 93 octane.

You will be good, if you start to get knock just pull timing. Boost isnt what kills motors its timimg.

Add in some water/meth injection and you'll be set
