OMG...GTM IS GOING/WENT OUT OF BUSINESS!!!

Just get Timrod's Radius rod and you will be good.

Is the prevailing wisdom now that with a TIMROD radius rod, the GTM mod is irrelevant?

I'm currently stockpiling parts for a Vortech build this winter and have been trying to establish what part number the gates pulley is that GTM resells. (I think Gates# t42121 is VERY close, but I have a friend with the actual GTM pulley and the spacer on the back looks different). Check it out though, much closer than all the other DIY GTM mods I've seen.

Anyways, I already have the radius rod, should I give up on the pulley search? Or is both better?

Radius rod will be fine, but for a little more security get your pulley coated. Read Meanz's thread.

I used a honda b series timing belt tensioner for the pulley mod.

Pulley mod is great. I was running 17 psi with it. Spinning the blower harder and changing some things up, I'm seeing 23-24 psi. But needed to add the Tim rod brace. 17 and below I didn't need the brace. But I was prolly still seeing slip with out it. I would go with the added pulley first and add from there.

Just to gauge the idea, while we're talking about pulley modifications...

Where does everyone stand on carbonite coating?

After reading up on some of the v8 pages, seems it works well for those guys. I'm about to send off my pulley soon to be coated, but I'm shooting for 25psi and up.
