Default 3" vortech pipework throughout

Been on here many years as a lurker, post occasionally but don't remember seeing the answer to my question(nor through searches)
I am sure someone has done it.
I have a larger intercooler with 3" pipework so seems a shame to fit reducers so the original vortech pipework lines up. (also my intake is all 3" and I have a 3" maf pipe), does 3" pipework fit up behind the radiator? And would welding on the original vortech bypass valve work with 3" pipework? (boost will be 20 max). And last of all would an exhaust fabricator be able to mandrel bend it to the same shape as the original pipework?
Thanks for any advice, or flaming as ive had a few beers and always funny to read the FI threads.

I had a spare bit of 3" pipe, just tried it, unlikely this will work. I do have a mishimoto radiator and fan surround (but like everything else its in my attic until I take the engine out for a rebuild) which might work but won't be fitting them just now so I will just have to shorten the original pipes I think and use reducers =(

Also checked the thread and he uses a different intercooler and routing so not an option, has to be in the existing vortech layout for a 2003 DE. But thanks for the response.

You can fit the 3". It will be a tight fit but can fit. Check my vortech built thread on here and towards the end you can see some pics. I had to trim some things but it worked great.

I will have another look through your thread cheers, had the beer head on and realized it was 3.5" pipework I used in that picture (spare from my intake side) I have heard it's doable if you bend the pipe oval shape behind the radiator and up past the back of the supercharger and ac pipes. Not fitting my mishimoto rad and fans so will wait to try it later this year, just need to cut the pen pipes to fit the intercooler.

if you are building all new cold side, why are you constrained to stock routing? You can reclock the headunit any way you want to get more clearance
