Hello im New to the forums just wondering what you guys can tell me about these kits i recently purchased a completely stock 2003 with 150kmiles is it wise or should I rebuild engine? Ive just put in kinetix ssv, dc headers, Hks exhaust, invidia test pipes and ACT HD clutch kit. Thanks I know prochargers are more reliable than turbos and if not done correctly it could really mess up the engine but im open to opinions I have 3.5k to spend saw some used HKS gt procharger kit for 2.5k and API for 3.5k etc
Vortech over all other superchargers! But you need about double the $ for a proper FI set up! Before you think about F/I you need to do a compression and leak down test.

Didn't know anyone other then vortech existed... Dont think $3500 is going to cut it, you could get some 4.08 gears and a real limited slip differential for that though.
Both of those applications are limited in power. It is misspelled, but im guessing you mean HKS GT Supercharger and ATI Procharger. They are both good to about 400whp, maybe slightly more with enough supporting mods with a great tune. That is about the limit of the stock block anyway.
With 150k miles though, it may not be a good idea unless you're willing to put down some real money for a full build.
3.5k would probably be pushing it for a budget of doing it properly.
I would say you need:
600-900 for a good tune from a reputable tuner
700-1000 for a basic fuel system and good injectors
anything left over in your budget would be for the FI kit.
For an engine build add another 5k minimum to start.
ATI procharger!!!.I personally have a procharger kit on my 03 350z and couldn't be happier with it.The only complaint I have so far is that the procharger is slightly loader than I'd like BUT it does sound kinda cool lol.
Long story short if/when you go FI plan to spend alot more than you originally intended.Unless it's a complete kit as in engine management, fuel delivery etc
I bought my procharger kit used for $2300 and it was missing a bunch of piping/couplers
None FI necessary ad ons
Sprint booster $125
KJR crank pulley $100
Kinetix ssv intake plenum $600
Nismo R tune headers $500
Motordyne Art pipes $450
Top speed Y pipe-$150
RS-R GT2 Exmag flex pipe back $500
So with all of these mods I was able to get 365rwhp/335ft/tq @6000rpm
It's like driving a completely different car now!!. While I'm pretty sure I could have got more power had my tuner gone more aggressive with my tune and/or I had larger injectors w/return system. But I am quite happy with the way the car feels now.Prior to the SC I always felt like the Z was quick but nothing to brag about. I know that the vortech system can produce great power as well but the procharger was available locally at a decent price and in all reality I don't see much different between it and the Vortech V3.How ever you can get upgradable pulleys/impellers for the Vortech were as the Procharger only offers different sized pulleys for more boost

rebuild the engine....150k is too much just that number alone i would just rebuild the motor.
