Single turbo question
their are so many factors involved.
it all depends on the turbo kit used,
the way you drive,
who did all the work and tuned the car?
what type of items were purchased to reinforce the block?
if you can answer these questions i would have a much better idea of how long your car can last.
OP, take this from me because I'm around your age (21). The thought of going F/I has struck me as hard as anyone else on this forum but I never pursued it. Why? Simply because with my driving skills at the moment, I doubt I can even use more than 50% of the car's power. You see, it's not all about the horsepower to the wheels, there's a lot more to it than that. The way I see it, it's probably a lot more fun to drive a stock Z hard than it is to sit in a 600 whp Z and have no clue as to what to do with it.
So save your money (and potentially your life) by learning how to drive the car first. Just my $0.02

i drove my Z stock for many years because my attitude had always been 230whp was more than enough and technically it is more than enough for street driving to obey all traffic laws within speed limits.
i had a real good opportunity to have twin turbos installed in my car and i decided to leap at the chance i like the blowoff valve sound and i wanted that 2 step psycho backfire sound and of course the speed because after awhile stock hp gets boring. you will pretty much dominate every single car on the road if your above 550whp.
it is a new and fun experience. you only live once. might as well. i dont regret going forced induction its a hobby it is something to enjoy
if their is something to consider OP, consider the COST make sure you have the money and that it is PLAY MONEY i am telling you its EXPENSIVE. dont be the guy with hopes and dreams and never finished because you ran out of money. i see too many threads where guys failed, started a 2jz swap put 50k in and ran out of money and had to sell it all off, because he still had bundles and bundles of things that needed to be done. be the guy that had all of it upfront and didn't have a problem finishing it. becaues i am going to tell you now everything costs money when you start the build down to every zip tie, bolt, nut every little thing.
