That would be an awesome alternative since a set of cams for these cars are outrageously priced for a slightly raised lobe.
These will carry a premium based on availability...if it was me, I'd run your DE cams until you get your headwork done ... but I wouldnt fault you if you could pickup a quality set of rev-up cams or aftermarket cams.
Speednz - I would also apply multiple coat of the copper-spray gasket on the head gaskets...not sure if you were planning on doing this.
if your block has the machined water-jacket modification and your generic head gaskets did not have this area notched out it may have led to the excessive coolant temps and ultimately the failure of the block...
