Default Questions for those with Stillen SC Installed

I'm seriously considering dropping some of my hard earned bonus money on the Stillen Intercooled SC kit. Like some feedback from those who have it installed.....

Installation: Did you do the install or have it professionally installed? Price paid for installation?

Reliability: Any problems with the kit so far? How many miles have you logged since installation. This is my daily driver, so reliability is very important.

Warranty: Did you buy the warranty or are you running the 7 psi package?

Performance: Dyno's and/or your satisfaction with HP and torque gains.

Asthetics: Have you grown to love or hate the hood? Any alternatives? I'd probably go with the full fiberglass hood in case I ever sell the car, could convert back to stock and sell the goodies!

MPG hit: I know, I know, but gotta ask since this is my daily driver. When the SC not making boost, is the drag comparable to an the AC compressor? More or less? When on I'm on the boost, I won't be worried about MPG!

Lastly, where to get the best price on the kit?

I'm in Chicago so this kit will see extreme temps so any feedback from owners in way cold areas on the SC reliability would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I put on the Stillen kit several months ago, and added the intercooler about 1 month ago. I live in Utah and drive it every day. I had a Honda mechanic friend install both kits and the hours to install were much less than advertised. I too drive my car every day. I even have snow tires on it! I love the HP gains! My son has a stock 350 Z and I have no idea what the hard performance numbers are, but it is a huge increase over stock. I have the warranty and the hood is painted to match the car. I have never owned a car that attracts so much attention. People know what the hood is covering, and I get tons of positive feedback. I am totally pleased with the Stillen set up as well as their support. I bought the Stillen kit for it's dependability and piece of mind and have not been disappointed at all! I notice no lower throttle drag at all. All in all it is a huge improvement to a great car. Yes the cost is real, but it is worth every penny to me for the increase in power and the peace of mind.
I am no expert in the area of graphs and charts. I cannot tell you that it is the best system out there, the fastest in the quarter mile or has the highest hp or torque because I have no basis to compare it to. All that I know is that I could not be happier with every facet of the Stillen System! I would encourage you to seriously consider their system.

You might want to wait a few more months and see if the DREAMWORKES SUPERCHARGER is coming out. If it is released as advertised in a few months, I beleive that is the ultimate Supercharger. Just my 2 cents of knowledge I have gained here and there.

Yep, been keeping the Dreamworks SC in mind also. Not in a rush now since the weather sucks here in IL.

scooter109, thanks for the feedback on your experience with the Stillen kit!
