_________________________________________________________

Car has 55k Miles and the Blower has 30k Miles total, 15k miles then rebuilt and another 15k miles, it
is a Vortech V2 with a 928 impeller and upgraded bearings put in upon rebuild.

Well I need some help now

A - Keep V2 SC kit - Buy the Upgrades I'm planning?

B - Sell V2 SC, Buy Greddy Twin Turbos - Because I wanted these originally but couldnt find a good deal on them in the beginning.
(What exactly should I sell/ buy if I do this?)
Here are the Twin turbos I'm planning to buy if I sell my SC (https://my350z.com/forum/forced-indu...turbo-kit.html)

_______

1) Putting in a custom half-roll cage like this: (estimating a 2 - 2.5k budget)
https://my350z.com/forum/autocross-r...installed.html

2) After the Roll cage, I will have the headliner and my front dash wrapped In alcantra suede, but this along with the roll-cage are all a project for after the FI.

Also when doing this install should I pull the engine, and clean out the whole bay, sand & repaint even and then slap
this all on, or should I just slap it on and not care about that at all? It's no rust/ 9/10 condition. Also should I
attempt a wire tuck at the same time or is that a bad idea? (How much should a wire tuck run me as well)

I only skim the post so ill answer what i can.

As far as SC vs TT. Do you want to pull the engine or no? Because im fairly certain the engine needs to be pulled to install the GReddy kit. With that said, turbo lag vs SC robbing you of power. It both has pro and cons. I prefer turbo, but that is up to you.

As far as the cosworth goes. I just got mine last month, love it and worth every penny. Rare piece, clean looking and a conversation starter.

As far as cage and harness goes, thats a can of worms right there. As far as im concerned, that type of stuff doesnt belong on the street.

If your goal is 5-550whp, my main question is, are you aware that you will likely have traction issues from a dead stop? Whats the point of power if you cant use it. In at 400whp and i spin in second and chirp in 3rd with decent tires.

Notice you have an 03 de (if i remember correctly) be prepare to replace the tranny, 500whp is useless when you grind 3rd. So thats another 2k.

As far as the jump from 400 to 500, youre looking about 5-10k of parts, depending how tough you want to build everything.

My opinion, and i may be bias, is that for a street car, 400whp is more than enough to have fun and plenty reliable for a daily. And if it was me, i would trade the SC in for a TT kit simply because it sounds better and you get better gas mileage. Forget about the cage, quick release steering wheel (imo stupid) and go straight for the cosworth. (Theres one for sale in the market place right now. I would ****** it while you still can. These are rare and only getting more rare.) But in the end, these are just my bias opinions.

One thing that jumped out at me was the under weight pulleys. You'd def want ATI or Fluiddampner pulley instead.

I have Greddy twins and the supporting mods are just such a HUGE additional expense. And you have to worry about cracked manifolds.

I would keep the Vortech.....go for the Cosworth...and enjoy the power you get with those.

+ aren't you in Cali? Turbos aren't smog compliant are they?
