Default Custom Roll Bar Installed

After several HPDE events over the last 2 years, I decided it was time for a better seat and harness to keep me behind the wheel. I have a few different cars so this is not my daily driver, but at this time I am not interested in building a track only car so it needed to be something that I could drive on the street as well. After a lot of reading and thinking through my different options I decided to install the driver's seat and harness myself to get it in the position I wanted it, then have a custom roll bar installed.

After talking with a shop that I had become acquainted with, we decided to actually have the roll bar installed with the headliner removed to make it possible to get the roll bar installed as high as possible. Once the roll bar was finished it was then sent to an interior shop that sectioned the stock headliner into two pieces and then recovered them in black alcantara before installing with the required modifications to hold the two piece headliner in place properly.

There were a few bumps along the way, not 100% satisfied with the whole process, but in the end I am happy with the result. I am not use to having someone else working on my car but I decided this was better left to people more qualified than I for roll bar installation, welding, and interior work. There are a few small things that could be better but that is just the way I am, things can always be better.

OMP TRS seats, planted seat base brackets (both modified as they sit WAY to high as delivered), OMP side mount brackets (also modified driver's side), Robinson Racing custom roll bar, JPM Coachworks headliner.

Here are some photos, let me know what you think.

Oh man that looks way more spacious than what's out there! I'm guessing you guys cut the cubby/sub box to get the bars down to the frame?

Would you happen to have any pics without the interior or seats? If you don't mind.

Thanks!

I wish I had pics without the interior. I asked for them but only have the ones with the headliner only out. I pulled back the side panel behind the driver seat and yes, they cut an access hole to pass the main hoop down to the floor. They also cut an access panel I assume to get the plate and MIG welder down in there. They welded that access hole back in place though so not much to see now.

Thanks! I looked at several options before going this way but was happy I did once it was complete. It was definitely more money than one of the off the shelf options but I would have never been happy with those.

ksuberk54, PM sent.

Schematics, none were made. The shop and I talked, they got to work making what I requested.
