Has anyone ever had or used a universal turbo , would you recommend it ?
Here is one that I found seems to be legit ? If not what would be the best budget turbo ?

You might want to do a bit more research. No such thing as a "budget turbo" for a Z33. You bought the wrong car.

 

The cheapest you can go is a Turbonetics kit for 3500 but even after that, more items needed to purchased like Engine management/Piggyback/Reflash, Injectors, Fuel pump, etc. So in reality you will pay over 5k as a generous minimum estimate, like Dcains stated, Modifying this car is not cheap. Don't take shortcuts with china kits that require a lot of fabrication to "kinda" fit and maybe work.

Building your own custom single rear-mount kit would take two days of work. If you have to ask about that kit then you lack the skill needed to install even a kit made for the car.

 

 

Did you read anything in the Forced Induction section here? If not, I'd suggest that you do that.

When you buy a kit (any kit) your paying for a reputation.

Does that mean this kit is bad or it sucks, or it'll instantly blow up your car because it doesn't have a reputation?? Probably not. But without knowing anything about these components usually these kits don't use the highest quality parts nor do they follow the same quality standards that bona-fide manufactures follow.

Would I install a universal kit on my car? I would consider it if 1000 other people put the same kit on their cars with minimal to no problems and the kit met my needs. Which I don't think you'll find a steady trend of people using these kits successfully.

Another thing to consider is the supporting systems of a turbo system - you can have the highest quality / most expensive kit available but if your tuning sucks, your oil system is dysfunctional, or the wastegates/BOV are installed wrong than the kit (nor your engine) wont last the weekend.

With that being said this particular kit is an absolute train-wreck of an abortion. You will be doing or paying someone to do custom work for weeks - which will far out weigh any cost savings obtained by going with a no-name kit.

best bet would be to find a quality complete kit that was specifically designed and engineered for the 350z. If you buy a used kit consider having the turbos rebuilt, WG/BOV reconditioned, buy new oil lines, inspect intake/exhaust piping, etc.

Research Research Research! Don't ask question rather search for solutions

Furthermore, this forum is full of information (most of it is useful). Find someone elses build that you want to mimic and do what they did. Don't reinvent the wheel, don't do anything out of this world crazy.
