Default Correct "correction factor" for Dynojet?

I'm looking over my dyno curves today and notice the Dynojet smoothing is 5....

I thought I saw somewhere on here that Dynojet "smoothing" set to 3 was the correct setting...

Now, how would setting it at 5 effect the dyno numbers? Anyone with experience know?

Thanks in advance....

I'm beginning to wonder if my tests were done in 4th gear instead of 5th as well...sheesh. Thank goodness I am going over there tommorow for some more tuning....

Smoothing is how smooth the graph looks and won't generally affect HP by more than 1 point (due to averaging).

4th versus 5th gear doesn't generally make much difference either, in my experience. What does seem to make a difference is continuing to do runs until the max HP number drops back down since the car seems to get better after a couple of runs.
