I am way confused dude. You had a 40 and a 27.

EJ is correct the 65 teeth rule is just so the belt fits. I researched a bigger belt to up my smaller pulley size on the compressor side but it didn't work out so I dropped my 41 to a 38 and went smaller on the compressor side not larger to gain more HP and retain their propritary belt. If you put the copressor pulley there liek you said it is a 22 you would have blown all your rods out dude! At 41 25 I was 11 PSI and you went to 22? That is 3 more pounds! Dizzam!

So I have a 38-27 and a 41-25 4 total.

You have a 38,39,40 and a 41?

Where I had a 26 you had a 27 and where I had a 41 you had a 40 remember? Not as easy as people make it sound eh?

Now you now why I was so happy to get exactly 9 PSI.

Congrats man, but I think you have the teeth count mixed up because I was given a 26 and you were given a 27 then I was given a 41 and you were given a 40.

It turns out all you would have needed was a 25 lol.

Confused yet? I am. Are you concerned about going lean or not pulling enough timing?

Wow..Now Im confused..I had stock 38-27 (65) and got from ATI the 40-25(65) so I actually utilized the 38-25 combo (63)..Dont know what boost that is maybee 8.5??I dont know where the 22 came from
as for timing we pulled 3 degrees of timing relative to boost and left it at that for now...I was able to run FULL timing on that setup on the dyno for the 388hp run but I didnt feel safe going on the road like that so I took out the 3 degrees and so far so good..(remember we get 93-94 octane here)
Also another interesting note..When I ran the 40-25 pulleys on one run my peak hp was higher but I lost a SHIZLOAD of TQ and hp down low and it almost seemed to help only in the 5800-6500 rpm range and very minimal at that..I felt safer going with the 38-25 for less boost and more TQ and HP in the powerband..After all how much time do you actually spend at PEAK hp on the track???

Exactly bro, the 40-25 is a perfect 65 teeth count which per ATI is not only optimum but supposed to be 9 PSI it ain't, it's 11 here maybe more there maybe less.

It didn't work for me either but they gave me a 41 which is even more boost! You did good, you should be perfect with 38-25, I am. Good Job J! Same reason I reduced my boost too, rather than keep it at 10, no benefit and lots of risk! 8-9 is the sweet spot!

What exhaust do you have? Write a little setup when you are all dialed in for the tuning post we have going so others can benefit. Like kit (ATI) Boost level, exhaust level and your ECU etc and a summary.

ATI with 38-25 tooth pulleys(good for about 8 1/2 lbs)
Aeromotive DFMU
Perfect Power SMT6 piggyback
Full Borla Exhaust(no headers yet)
Cat pipes
