Default VQ35DE Twin Turbo GT2860RS dyno results

Hey,
Just wanted to share some dyno results after finally getting the car together:

Part 1, the low boost map @0.9 bar, the dyno is showing 50 less hp than it is

Engine mods:
Bottom end: Cosworth short block
Top end: stock

255LPH fuel pump, 600cc injectors, stock FPR

Next steps: additional fuel pump with a surge tank + FPR to up the pressure on boost so the injectors can provide more fuel
Aiming for 650hp

Great numbers -

what are the details of your build?

You’ll need bigger injectors for 650hp - Go with 1000cc minimum. And you will need a return fuel system.

Hey,
It's an Cosworth block so here are the copied ingredients:
  • New Nissan VQ35DE Block
  • New Nissan forged crankshaft (81.4mm)
  • Cosworth Forged H-beam connecting rods
  • Cosworth Forged Pistons (95.5mm) and rings
  • Cosworth Tri-metal bearings
  • Cosworth Heavy Duty main studs
  • Piston squirt jets
  • Balanced to within 0.5 gram
  • Complete blue-printed assembly
  • Ring gap set
  • Bearing clearance checked
  • Deck height checked
  • Connecting Rod side clearance checked
  • Crankshaft end float checked
Got the block for cheap from a local and decided to put it in use.
Next planned tune is in around 2 weeks. I'll post an update here.
Thanks for noting about the fuel return system, it's on the TODO list as well!

EDIT:

when I was researching what was done with VQ35DE in the best, posts like this helped a lot so hopefully someone has any use of this example

Are you running an oil cooler?

Your setup may benefit from a vented hood?

Looks good!

Only the stock oil cooler.
The fans were replaced by some underground-knowledge saab diesel fans that are famous for cooling 2jzs here
Going to a track on sunday to test it all!
