I Think Ravaz is on a stock block right now....I dont think sleeving is necesarry unless you go into the 600+hp range..But prior to that you need to solve the ECU and MAF sensor issue...

I agree with you. I honestly don't think sleeves are 100% necessary unless your going crazy here with some insane ammount of boost. I think if I was going to do it again, I'd only have my block decked. A machine shop can do this. The only reason I had my old block sleeved was because a few of the cyl walls were shot, so the cost came out to be close to the same with the deal I got, just made sense to get this done. Daking I'll PM you in a few.

The cost is something like ~2200, call them for more details as I don't know their current prices. They can build your bottom end, they sell rods and pistons or you can send them your own, they will balance and blueprint the block too.

Sleeves are around $900. Rods and pistons are about $1800 and I'd say about $2000 on all the machine shop charges. You're at under $5000 complete. No need to spend $7000. You can also maybe go a bit bigger displacement. Use maybe the VQ40 motor crank? YOu can certainly go a bit bigger with the bore.

I have setup an account with AEBS and I think I can get you a decent discount on the sleeving if you are serious about it.

Our 350z has been down since December for the turbo install, since we have been focusing on moving into our new shop and finishing my Civic race car. We dont plan to have it running for another week or two since we finally got some custom fitting we had backordered for a while.

Anyway, We have another block out at AEBS being sleeved right now. I bought the block from Performance Nissan for a fair price and they shipped it straight to AEBS for us. We are only having AEBS sleeve ours, we will build the engine ourself here at the shop.

We are gonna take the stock motor in the car up to 450rwhp then I will stop there and wait for the new engine to be done. I still have to buy another set of heads to give to my head guy to get started on.

Building this engine is not going to be cheap, especially since sleeving is involved in doing it hardcore.

If you want an AEBS sleeved block shoot me a PM, I can call and double check my pricing... I need to start setting up built short block packages for the VQ anyway since I have a feeling that building this engine is going to get more and more popular.
