GReddy TT done...my impressions....and a serious question!
there were whitish salt like crystals under the coolant cap when i opened it.....my exhaust smells like bus exhaust since i got rid of the cats....what particular smell should i be looking for, burned antifreeze? Thanks for the help....im gonna run it today for a while after I fix the position of the wires on the MAF, and see how it goes.
The exhaust will smell sweet if your burning antifreeze. The crystals by the rad cap are probably there from the fill up. If it leaks a little at a time you often don't see the coolant on the ground but when it dries from the leak it will leave the salt behind. I think it's just air, give some it time. Can't wait to see your dyno.

That woo woo woo is the sound of the pressurized air in your intake/IC forcing its way back out the compressor housing of the turbo. It's called compressor surge and it's a bad thing. Greddy does not include a BOV because in Cali it's against the law for a car to expel any liquids or gasses (except exhaust). In my opinion a bov is an important part of any turbo system. 5 or 6 psi is not a little, maybe comparatively it seems small, but that’s a large volume of compressed air forcing it's way out the wrong way and damaging the compressor and turbo shaft. Ever try to go the wrong way through a turnstile? Heh, It does not work. And sure maybe you can live without it, but it's bad. It's like smoking tobacco, it's not going to kill you the first time, but it's going to get you eventually. I would drop the cash on a BOV unless you want to spend money on new turbos down the line.
Also because the turbo is slowed down it takes a lot longer for it to spool back up and build boost after you shift, slowing you down even more.

hey bruschijr,
did you take off your oil pan to drill? for a oil return line???
as far as installing a BOV... should he route it back to the intake???cause i heard that the maf sensor will go into shock if air is atmosphericly dumped and car could possibly stall...

i'll also vote that you get a BOV installed. you're slowly killing your turbos.
also, if you did blow the head gasket, you'll see white smoke under the hood (coolant burning and leaking) around the head gasket area

the greddy kit i got had two pre-drilled holes, so i didn't have to have anyone drill it..... As for the coolant issue, it seems to have settled after a fill up and a half...guess it was just air bubbles...and I have the Greddy type-s BOV on order, and getting my spark plugs installed in the next couple days....i heard the BOV should be installed before the MAF and after the IC.

You should install the BOV before the MAF so that the air that is vented will not be measured by the maf.

The greddy kit comes with a already modified oil pan, it's very nice. This is one of the biggest reasons I went for the greddy kit over the vortech.

Dual Bolt-On Turbo Kit - TD05H-18G - includes 2x cast-iron manifolds, 2x external Type T wastegates, e-manage, 4x 440cc injectors, 2x Airinx AY-SB, piping and necessary hardware
unless the oil pan is considered necessary hardware???
also what about a new gasket when removing the stock oil pan??
does greddy supply a new one???

The lower oil pan does not use a gasket, just a bead of grey silicone to seal it up.

A supercharger uses a bypass valve that will bypass the blower under vacume. Bypass valves do not vent anything into the atmosphere, and some blow off valves are designed to function in the same way.
This one you can use to direct the air back into the intake.
This one you cannot.
