More MAF Problems - PE TT
Just in case anyone thought it was limited to Tim's (t32gzz) placement of his MAF sensor, the dreaded "limp mode" strikes again. Hit on freeway entrance ramp at around 8 psi in 3rd. Running stock MAF on PE g35 coupe. Spoke with Tadashi, who hasn't been able to duplicate on Cheston's car, but a fix might be coming in the near future.

Thanks for posting, Aaron..
i knew this was not isolated to either tim or i... as soon as people start running real amounts of boost, this will be more of a problem...
i ran across this the other day:
http://www.turbofast.com.au/TFmatch.html
if you plug in values that match our cars:
Gasonline
2 Turbos
Intercooled
3600cc (they don't have 3500)
RPM limit 7000 (for TS flashed)
Turbo Boost: 8psi
You will get the following:
BHP: 435
Air Flow (lbs/min): 40.10
Now, the problem is our MAF sensor/ECU can only read to 33.87 lbs/min...

Just wanted to let you know that I was able to get this mode finally at 9psi. Dang the car smells. now I haven't been able to get to do it at 8 psi. I guess it depends on the day. I hope some one has a fix for it soon. Planning on running more boost.
Per our conversation, it seemed that Tadashi might be working on an increase in the diameter of the black housing where the MAF sensor is located. The % increase would be exactly equivolent to - I believe - the % increase in fuel supplied by the bigger injectors. Will talk to him this week to try and get a better idea.
